Covered yung AOG ng insurance ko. Question ko lg, can the insurance have reason to decline covering my claim? Dahil inilusong ko sya sa bahA? Anong masasuggest nyo. Thanks.

"self inflicted" is normally covered in comprehensive insurance.
marami namang dumadaan nang nakaka-lusot.. hindi mo naman alam na i-titirik ka, 'di ba?
total loss versus repair... that may be up to them, depending on the estimated costs.

    OT: I saw that

Anyway, I realised that is important to get a good agent and insurance company. I am more than happy on my recent claim.

Way back during Ondoy, I believe that most insurance will declare your vehicle a total loss if the flood water reached the dashboard, or something to that effect. Has this changed?

I recently saw a video of a talyer repairing a flooded vehicle and he identified the insurance by name, stating that the vehicle was endorsed to them for repair and restoration. Though, it wasn't clear whether the vehicle will still be returned to the owner or if they're planning on putting it back in the used market after the car has been refurbished.... they do need it to recoup their losses.

But the latter seems more probable... I mean, who would want their flooded car back? But hey, the fine print on AoN/AoG stipulations might have changed so I'm just wondering what their meter stick is when assessing flooded vehicles that are otherwise undamaged.

I doubt many people actually read their policies. Karamihan, they only check the fine print sa AOG cover (if they get one) after the fact na. Yung problema naman din diyan, companies don't make the actual policies available for scrutiny when you're shopping around for insurance coverage kaya hindi ka rin maka-compare. They just tick the box w/ AOG cover but don't actually know what their AOG policy covers.

Another thing to consider when choosing an insurance policy are those issued by companies na madaling kausap pag need na mag claim, not one that will make you jump too many hoops (pahirapan sobra)...

    in other places,
they have a policy regarding the re-sale of 'total loss' cars, i.e., the buyer must be made aware of the car's background, regardless of whatever condition the refurbished car is now in..
    kelan kaya magkakaroon niyan dito?

Kailangan mo ng lawyer on retainer to explain it to you. So we really can't blame people just accepting what's on there, considering the alternative.

At after nabili change oil at CVTF din agad.

Na suspect ko lang lately habang nabubutingting. Sa singit singit ng carpet at ilalim ng interior panels may stain ng light brown dirt (same color ng dirt sa trunk dati), hindi usual grey dust. Sa under ng dash supports ganoon din. tapos recently iyong recline mechanism ng front seats, more more than usual rust spots.

Can the insurance company resale the car w/o your consent?
Paano ma transfer yan if walang deed of sale or some transfer of ownership proof from owner to insurance?
