At that price, a 40 liter full gasoline tank dose of acetone (60ml) will only cost around P6.50/dose.

Thats something to look at once I have done testing.

First results would probably be around Thursday or Friday. (or even Saturday if it really works great).

Hehehe as long as we don't forget to recap the container ... or it'll all just evaporate

Any updates on the experiment? I wonder why there are not too many news about this on the mags and tvs? Or even from the government?

albert_b: Try searching google, you'll see a lot of websites about this. Its a pretty cheap and effective based on what I've read but you have to be exact in the acetone you put.

    as requested, an update...

so far I have used up about 1/4 of my tank of acetone treated gasoline. Typically I get about 60 to 70km at this point with "normal" gasoline. I got slightly over 80km (83km to be exact). That is about a 30% improvement assuming the base is 65km.

Note: This is unofficial because any car's fuel level guage can be relatively inaccurate. The official km/L will be when I fill up my fuel tank again. Based on current consumption, it will be at the end of the week.

yes, you have to be relatively accurate on how much acetone you add. Too much and your fuel milage will decrease. This is shown in the chart below.
