Yup... should turn off the aircon... when you run through a flood that deep, the bottom of your engine is already underwater... and your accessory belts are underwater, as well.

When the aircon loses its cool... that means the belt on the AC compressor is slipping because it's wet... you should turn it off to prevent damage due to this slippage.

Ok yun pag extreme emergency. Dapat may baong extra washing machine tubes at duct tape (pwede dikit kahit basa at umuulan).

Nakalimutan lang sa video yung air intake pa engine. I'd open the hood, plug a tube there and tape it high so no water gets in there. Medyo iba kung CAI nga lang.

    Pang emergency yung ginawa.

No but you can retrofit the ones from SUVs and pickups to sedans... but given most sedans are gasoline fed, it would be pointless.

    Another tip.

Keep your left foot off the clutch as much as possible. Maski nakalubog ang muffler mo your engine will not stall.

A gasoline car will run until the water seeps past the spark plug boots and causes cross-firing... Which would take a few minutes. If you vae a snorkel and the ECU is protected, you can make short crossings.

I once saw a 2001 Lancer ford a flood up to its headlights in V. Luna.

A couple of SUV's followed and didn't make it.

Either the driver of the Lancer was not the owner or you can imagine the headaches in maintenance he got a few months after fording the flood.

Typically, look for signs of mud or water stains in hard-to-reach and hard-to-clean places. No other method is surer.

Perfect 'to for Manila. Heated spike for jaywalkers. Raised for floods. Cannon for buses. Smokescreen for ASBU. Twin engine nga lang. Aircon na lang kulang

i used l300 gas in knee-deep pasong tamo flood with no problem. also did knee-deep with liteace 5k gas before with no problem. both are cheap and easy to maintain, and there's plenty of space at the back in case you get stranded.

Knee-deep is nothing to most cars. The problem with the L300 is the air intake is under your butt. Once you hit waist-deep water, you're sunk.
