Choosing among Mitsubishi Strada, Ford Escape, Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Xtrail.

Open to other suggestions in the same price price range.

    Thanks

Strada from among your choices for the simple reason na ito lang naaangkop (just because its a pick up) to have it lifted and fitted with other accessories (like snorkels) for fording flooded terrain.

But if the vehicle is just to to do the aforementioned task....I will spend my resources looking for an SR5 Toyota Hilux, have it lifted and fitted with the accessories just mentioned above. The old Nissan Frontier will be my next choice.

Sayang ang brand new isabak sa baha!

Strada among your choices pero mostly pick-ups can easily pass through floods. Gaano kataas ba yung usual na bahang dadaanan? Sayang nga naman talaga kung isasabak lang sa baha ang brand new pero better siguro if you look for a car that really serves a purpose, hindi lang yung puwede idaan sa baha.

Among your choices, only the Strada is capable of fording floods. Just get the GL (most affordable variant).

Among your choices, mitsubishi strada for me. Pwede rin namang navara, toyota hilux, ford ranger etc.

Hindi pwede yung Xtrail at Ford Escape, gasolina yang dalawa. Yung tucson naman, may diesel pero not sure kung kakayanin. Kaya for a peace of mind, pick up na, tas snorkel. :2thumbsup:

Isuzu Fuego. Diba may isang tsikoteer na nagpost sa " What is your Isuzu " thread na nilulusong niya fuego niya?

Tas baka pwede rin nissan frontier bravado, mukhang subok naman, ganun mga kotse ng media na sinusulong sa baha eh.

Consider mo din location ng computer box. At least nasa dashboard at di sa mababang lugar.

Most new CRDi pick-ups have sealed electronics that should be semi-waterproof... in fact, some have their ECUs in the engine bay, and they survive repeated river crossings with no problem.

But simpler is always better... a Crosswind is great in a flood, because there's almost nothing besides the alternator and fuses that can be destroyed by a drenching.

What it lacks is a snorkel or a high intake... easily remedied by the aftermarket (don't know if a Fuego item will fit, though...) and better door seals. ;)

Oh, and a Crosswind will survive the EMP flash from a nuclear blast with no problem. :hysterical: It's a certified Mad Max car!

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Eh yung montero sir xto? kaya ba? Mas mataas ground clearance niyan kaysa sa strada diba?

Kasi, kung kaya naman, montero na lang, just add a few then yun. + 2 seats. + ground clearance pa.

Kasi kung strada, baka magmahal na iyan may nakita na akong facelift ng strada eh. ganda :2thumbsup: anywayss. ot na ko.
