I've used both for a considerable time as company car. I would give a slight edge sa Avanza esp if 1.5g variant vs any of the advie at the same price range.

March 5th, 2011 12:13 PM #53I would choose Avanza is most of the time 3-5 people lang ang sasakay. Pero kung parati 7-10 ang sakay Adventure dapat. Mahirap pumasok at lumabas sa 3rd row seat ng Avanza at very time consuming. Adventure interior is very roomy 2nd and 3rd row. Avanza easier to drive and park, because of smaller body vs the bigger body of the Adventure. In term of fuel consumption mas tipid ng konti ang Adventure. Maintenance - easier to maintain ang gasoline engine vs diesel engine, because of smoke belching issues. Avanza faster acceleration.

I'll choose the adventure, with a pajero look front it has more style than the avanza.
Bigger space for cargo and passenger
Diesel, so cheaper fuel
4D56 engine, maraming mekaniko ang familiar sa engine na ito at maraming replacement parts.
The most important thing is, adventure can take you and your family to most part of the Phil without the worry of over-stressing your ride. Surely avanza can also go anywhere, but its not design for that stress load, by doing that you are accelerating the life span of your ride.

March 5th, 2011 09:10 PM #55It will also depend on your mileage. If less then 10,000 kilometer per year. Pang hatid sundo lang ng bata sa school. Outing a little with family or friends. The Avanza will last a long time. The best example is that it is used by taxi operators, because it is very reliablle. When you ride a Avanza taxi ask the driver what are the pro's and con's.

March 5th, 2011 10:42 PM #57The 1.3 engine of the Avanza has sufficient power. It all depend on the skill & experties of the driver in harnessing it, especially during uphill with winding road and fully loaded with passenger. The suspension rides very good when fully loaded or atleast 6 people. It's main weakness is the high speed cruising in the expressway, the engine becomes very boomy.

+ tama ka dyn sir, just like it's ancestor, the toyota REVO 1.8 (which has a big "KAHA" but with a small powerhouse) hindi naman ganon kahirap tumakbo...remember nag-match na rin ang adventure sa revo noon,
