Buy the Avanza if you prefer gas or you must need to have an A/T otherwise get the Adventure. Me? If I have the money I like the look of the Adventure better because of the recent grille and nice colors to choose from. Plus 4d56 engines are everywhere.

March 23rd, 2011 09:35 AM #72If your budget is limited the Avanza 1.3J would be a good buy. Since it price is only 600+ thousand pesos versus the other's 700-800+ thousand pesos.

+1, ako dito. But if kaya ng budget, get the advie.
Blue gambit mentioned already that it is easy to maintain an advie and mas matibay talaga kesa avanza. I have driven both extensively kasi.
But if you prefer a faster ride naman, hehe, ciempre sa gas avanza ka na. As Doc Jim said, it will boil down to your preference kasi.Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!

February 9th, 2013 07:39 AM #78Price comparison vs. pros., ADVENTURE ako. Avanza is a confused sedan or AUV car..hehehe. Parang LATA ng sardinas nga ito at ramdam mo ang nipis nito lalo na kapag naluluma na. Try riding an Avanza taxi and see for yourself.
Diesel kaya mas mababa palagi ang fuel price versus gas. Sa FC cost vs. taxi city driving ng both Adve and Avanza, lamang ang Adve, Diesel eh.
7-9 seaters, (pwede ring siksikin sa 12pax hehehe). Bitin ako sa room space ng Avanza...
No spark plug of course kaya mas may laban sa BAHA sa syudad.....
1st gear up to 3rd gear nito ay malakas, pagbitaw mo sa clutch, tumatakbo na agad ang adve. Good as parang A/T na rin sya in traffics. Sarap nitong ibuntot sa traffics, walang makakasingit syo kapag marunong kang magdala ng Adve. No need to step on the gas, pagbitaw mo ng clutch, nkabuntot ka na agad sa sinusundan mo.
Usok? Not a problem now... Change oil every 5000km ka lang at safe ka na lagi.
Mas magandang pormahan kesa sa confused sedan or AUV Avanza hehehe.
Maraming parts sa market kaya mas mura parts...
Jurassic engine kaya kabisadong kabisado ng mga mekaniko.
City driving, Hiway driving and Mountain driving, pwedeng pwede ang Adve (loaded man o hindi). At sobrang steep ranges, hindi ka ititirik ng 1st gear nito. Walang babaan ng load sa 1st gear.
Maraming color variants, me I'd like RED.
Anyways, it's your choice....BUT for me, Cost vs. Pros, Adventure is more sulit na sulit...

March 19th, 2013 06:25 PM #79Avanza for me since di naman lagi punuan lagi kotse and most of the time me and my wife lang going on and off the office.
Parking space can be a factor so Avanza becomes advantageous because of smaller form.
Not bad for box deliveries medyo spacious naman sa likod compared to sedans. We only do it like every or every other weekends.
A/T para mas focus lang sa driving and more comfortable.
Cheaper price is also good factor.
For us subok na Toyota brands, never bought Mitsubishi (maybe will ever).
So yes, it boils down to your needs
