both are good looking, 2.6 - 2.8 pretty expensive lalo na kung hard earned moolah ang ibibili, imagine kung after 50,000Km mag labasan ang problema naku po, susmio ka indo, dito pa naman sa pilipinas di uso ang recall, like the Isuzu Trooper 4jx1 dilemna.

other options though real SUV not X

    toyota PRADO (local) kaso bare
nissan SUPER SAFARI updated design kaso old pa din
mitsubishi PAJERO all new best alternative sa CX9 or VC

If you have the resources in the range of these two vehicles, I'll go for the CX-9. Besides it has already been through some evaluation by Motor Trend and has be chosen SUV of the year.

just to correct an earlier posting ....

    the CX-9 has a Trip Computer .
It can display Instantaneous / Average Fuel Consumption, Remaining Distance that can be travelled, Average Speed.
However , you have to toggle between these displays and the digital clock.

Saw a blue (purplish blue) CX-9 in Alabang earlier. Whoa! Malaki siya. It looks newer/fresher compared to the VC. Audi Q7-ish.
