What about initial acquisition cost? I know VC costs around 3M to roll out of the showroom. CX9 = ?
These are very similar SUV's in external styling. I just don't know if the CX9 seats 7 also. But with the rising fuel cost, it would be practical to get the CRDI instead.

At 2.6 - 2.8m, you're not really thinking about saving fuel, are you? The 200,000 peso difference will buy you enough gasoline to last a year... or more.
The CX9 is probably the better vehicle to drive, but the VeraCruz offers you a lot for your money.

that's why fuel economy is not included in the criteria
VeraCruz wins in the details ... lots of "power" options included ... power tailgate, power steering column adjustments,
for those people who think with their heads
CX9 wins in the "looks" department IMO ...
for those people who feel with their hearts

CX9 is undohbtedly a better SUV but the price should be less than 2M imo and comparo should be done not with a VC CRDI but with the RAV4.
