What about initial acquisition cost? I know VC costs around 3M to roll out of the showroom. CX9 = ?
These are very similar SUV's in external styling. I just don't know if the CX9 seats 7 also. But with the rising fuel cost, it would be practical to get the CRDI instead.

At 2.6 - 2.8m, you're not really thinking about saving fuel, are you? The 200,000 peso difference will buy you enough gasoline to last a year... or more.

The CX9 is probably the better vehicle to drive, but the VeraCruz offers you a lot for your money.

We're working on getting test units now... stay tuned...

Hehe... good point... most vehicles that cost 2M+ anyway aren't that "fuel efficient" to begin with.

What's intriguing with the VeraCruz really is its 462Nm of gut-pulling torque.

that's why fuel economy is not included in the criteria

VeraCruz wins in the details ... lots of "power" options included ... power tailgate, power steering column adjustments,
for those people who think with their heads

CX9 wins in the "looks" department IMO ...
for those people who feel with their hearts

Does the CX9 really come with 20" rims stock? Wow!

I agree... and the CX-9 looks better too.
Never really liked the grill of the VeraCruz... looks like some inverted Toyota grill.

CX9 is undohbtedly a better SUV but the price should be less than 2M imo and comparo should be done not with a VC CRDI but with the RAV4.
