There are workarounds on raising the car's ground clearance w/o making em look like crossovers, though. Mild upsizing of tires or the wheel-tire combo are a couple. I say mild coz one has to be aware of its effect on the speed & odometers. The other is the more complex air suspension...let's not go there.[emoji4]
One thing that's seldom discussed is the overhang, front & rear. The longer the bumper overhang from the tires, the more scrape-prone the car is. I do a lot of RoRoadtrips, hence, I go more for hatches...they have shorter rear overhangs, making em friendlier on ramps...esp when doing reverse entry on RoRos.... worse on high tide. Longer front overhangs will tend to penalize on ramp & speed-bump approaches. You can see the comparison here:
Hatches have the option of bigger cargo volume w/ rear backrests down, too. The hatch 3 was tested by a bud to fit a full-size mountain bike w/o wheel removal....before he jumped. He hates bike racks & takes his bike in his 3 every weekend for training. Here's what a hatch 3 can load....

November 22nd, 2017 07:28 PM #47I went to mazda today kaso walang totl m3 na avaiable so tinest drive ko yung m3 2014 ng SA namin totl. Ok naman drive nya tho parang comfortable ako sa civic. Na test drive ko but short lang yung 1.8E eh. Whats holding me on to M3 is the sunroof iloop and istop so logically kahit 2.0 pa sya mas efficient sya. Totl kasi so complete talaga. But i feel like mas maganda transmission ng civic. Dilemma talaga ako and we're kind of worried sa excise so dapat asap na sya

1.8 yung Civic ko. I posted my FC numbers already which are actually better than my old 1.6 Altis. Also, hindi sumasabit Civic kasi mataas yung approach angle ng front niya, lalo na compared sa Mazda 3 Speed na may lower lip pa. Kitang kita naman sa pictures.
Matanong kita, anong bang mas feel mo right now?
