Keep your old car vs. buying a new car?

Yung big body XE ni erpats buhay pa rin. Ningatngat na ng daga ang wiring pero naayos naman. Top overhaul, tranny overhaul and palit carb na rin. Ang nakakagulat stock shocks pa. Wala pa daw leak considering na 200k+ kms na ang mileage. Ngayon tumatakbo pa rin on 400 km long trips. Pyesa madami sa Banawe. Yung top overhaul kit at water pump dun ko nabili. Nakabili din kami ng valve cover dahil may kalawang na yung original.

Hahaha~ Not really. When I was signing up, I was thinking of a car related, nice-sounding and easy to remember username and this just sort of popped up. But I have always had great respect for the Galant GTi, or even it's lower variants. The design is timeless, durability is excellent, and the ride is very comfortable. We have a family friend who owns a 1.8L Galant Super Saloon. First owner sila at hanggang ngayon nandun pa yun. PKx-xxx yung plaka at faded na pero yung pintura parang bago parin, walang kalampag at sarap parin sakyan.

hanggang ngayon, marami pa ring 6 Gen Galant lovers. maganda naman talaga. Ako, obviously, sa first car ko (7G) kinuha ang user name ko dito.

i missed my colt mirage 2dr (82)..no problem. econo drive is still functioning and all. sold it because i lost my job before and said to myself it will never happen again.

why did you lose your job? is it because ur colt mirage? natirikan ka ba when you most need to do your job?

wow, 2-mode tranny with front wheel drive (i haven't tried this). i remember noticing the unique light switch as a kid. please share your experience.

My first car was a '91 Sentra. Replaced it with a '96 Trooper/Bighorn in 2003. I'm now looking to replace it with a 2000 up car, but haven't decided which one.

if the cost of maintaining and repairing the car > market value, time to go.

i had a car, which visits the repair shop every week. considering the cost of the car < 120k, i had to let it go.
average damage from each repair costs around 2.5-4k.....
