I just searched the Speedlab supercharger kits for the Wigo and Mirage. Apparently the Wigo application makes around 80whp, and the Mirage, around 90whp. That would be similar to the stock output of a typical normally aspirated 1.5-1.6L engine. But those figures are apparently also the highest they can go with stock internals.

For a mere 30+whp boost you have to cough up 200+k... With a CRDi turbodiesel, the chip alone can already achieve this level of power increase. Damage of only 30k.

I empathize with the guys here who put up with their "screaming" Wigo's. Our Revo diesel is just the same. 60km/h feels fast already. 100km/h feels like you're flying and the engine sounds like it's about to explode. Engine tops out at a pretty decent 145km/h but at that point, prolonged exposure to that level of engine noise would've permanently damaged my hearing. 😂
