I don't think Mazda is aiming for sales figures as big as those local PPVs. They won't even aim for sales figures of the lower end CX5 2.0L Maxx and Pro models. The CX5 and Mazda6 in 2.5L gas or 2.2L diesel form have their own niche market to cater to specific buyers much like the buyers of Subaru Forester XT, Legacy, and Levorg.

Hindi naman. These cars are priced withing the same range as most PPVs. It's just that different people have different needs.

PPVs don't apply to everybody and that includes you and me. I don't need a 7-seater PPV and no way these vehicles can measure up to the ride offered by the likes of the CX5 or Forester.

^^^ Agreed, plus the interior fit and finish of a CUVs is way better compared to that of PPVs.

+1 Sirain pa rin Korean cars. 5 weeks after i bought a brand new one, nasira na ang aircon. Tapos here is the kicker. pinadala nila iyong sasakyan sa Casa to check the aircon not once kungdi 3 times kasi daw hinde daw qualified to check iyong unang tumingin, tapos sabi nila hintayin nalang ang parts. I have been following up Auto Circulo near Ligaya, Pasig for the aircon parts. Sa kanila ko binili Kia ko, Wala pa daw parts. 6 weeks akong naghintay wala pa rin daw parts. Si I decided in desperation to have it checked by a trusted aircon shop. to hell with the warranttee. It turned out sira lang ang isang O-ring. I paid P3,000 for the O-ring (mura lang P450) atsaka aircon freon charging at labor for repairs.
6 weeks akong naghintay sa Casa, nagtiis iyon pala simple O-ring lang ang sira. Don't ever buy from Auto Circulo in near Ligaya Pasig. They also have a branch in Cogeo marcos Highway. Napakagulang at walang walang customer service. Magaling lang sila pagnagbebenta.

Or even better don't buy a Kia. I never experienced a brand new car na nasira ang aircon in 5 weeks. Kia lang.

We got a Forester and it was really our first choice. We did check out the CX5, Escape, Xtrail, CRV, and RAV4. Toyota was a disappointment as they had no display unit for the RAV4 in their dealerships. Somehow the CRV did not really appeal to us. My wife really likes the CX5 (specially in Soul Red color) but Mazda is not that friendly with discounts. The Escape offered a big discount but the blind spots from inside is a disappointment and the dashboard layout was so much like our Fiesta. We almost took home the Xtrail as it really offers one good package for its price. However, in the end, our gut feel was right in the first place with the Forester.

ako parang gusto ko yan X-trail. medyo I kinda like the Nissan nowadays coz of my Juke.

kung minsan naisip ko pag lumipat ako sa Nuvali sa future, and I only have like 2 parking lots available solb na siguro ako sa Nissan Xtrail and Nissan Juke as my backup car. at least pareho nissan, madali maintenance. nahihirapan na ako ng iba-iba brand.

pag sa bahay nga gusto, inverter aircon ko Panasonic, inverter ko Panasonic, TV panasonic, washing machine, microwave puros Panasonic

sobrang na-burnout na ako dami iniintindi sa bahay coz of multiple brands. anyways, ganun din naman car - point a to b, washing machine - pang laba, aircon - pang lamia, ref - pang store ng food, why does it have to have so many brands for generic purposes. tumatanda na talaga ako. parang gusto ko mag-concentrate sa ibang endeavours instead of storing brain data of new or powerful features ng technology. parang pare-pareho din naman in the end. pagdating ng judgement day ni God those things that we fill our heads, it's irrelevant to him.
