Matagtag talaga ang 3rd row dahil usually dun ka nakaupo mismo sa ibabaw ng gulong. I experienced once while sitting in a GL Grandia unloaded tumatalbog ako nung nakaupo ako dun sa may ibabaw ng wheel well habang nadaan kami sa star tollway. Pero I would agree matagtag talaga ang suspension ng BR-V kumpara sa Innova and even the crosswind.

the innova is better, suspension-wise in my opinion. the tires are thicker.

Thanks, Boss StockEngine! One more thing I notice in Innova is its seat. It's more comfortable (soft, has more cushion, I think?) compared to BRV-S, which is stiffer. I asked the agent, if all variants have the same seat quality, he said yes and the only difference is the seat design. Was that true?

Haven't seen the BRVs interior until earlier there was a display unit in Southmall. Didn't know that it had the exact interior of the Mobilio. I didn't like driving it at night(mobilio), felt like it needed more illumination on the instruments especially the shift lever panel.

The innova's body on frame suspension is tough but forgiving. Isn't as floaty as PPVs but better suited for our roads than the mobilio/brv IMO. Space is also cavernous.

The illumination on the shift lever was my concern too at first, pero after 3 months you get used to the different shift positions. I agree though ilaw lang di man lang nila nilagyan. Kung comfort habol mo Innova talaga kasi sa BR-V ramdam na ramdam mo yung kalsada lalo na kung hindi fully loaded.

Hi,

Brv TOTL pna test drive sakin. Ride was smooth, ABS was excellent. Tested the Hill start assist in the ups&downs of dasma-salitran cavite, you dont need to fear sliding down specially in bumper traffic. Higher quality interior compared to avanza of same price level. 1.5 engine was ok going uphill for 3paxs(me,honda driver&agent),dont know though if full7pax&cargo loaded. D nahirapan engine even if full blast aircon going uphill, tried both low level setting &its so called "auto-cool"feature. Smooth u turning.
We'll test drive Innova on sunday. Can give detailed comparison after.

Medyo nagulat ako na mas matagtag ang BR-V kesa sa Crosswind kasi hindi ganito ang experience ko.
May BR-V ang bayaw ko and I could tolerate riding in its 3rd row a lot longer than my car pool which is a Crosswind XT.
Posible ba na nasasalo kasi yung pwet ko nung mas magandang padding ng BR-V kesa sa side facing at very thinly padded seats ng Crosswind?

Not true.

The diesel Innova is 120k more expensive than the gas. However, the diesel (even if it's a 2.8) is still far more economical than the 2.0 gas.

Assuming 7 km/L for the gas and 9 km/L for the diesel, with diesel at P35/L and gas at P45/L, and an annual distance travelled of 15,000 km - you save 38k a year. In a little over 3 years, you've already recouped the price difference of the diesel vs gas.

Also, the diesel will have much better resale value in the long run. And the diesel performs much better than the gas. I really don't see a reason to get a gas Innova.

Nope. The only thing that costs more with regular diesel maintenance is that it uses more oil. A gas engine uses 4-5L of oil. A diesel engine uses 6-8L. So at P300/L then you spend an extra 600 per PMS which is far less than what you save on fuel.

A turbo and injectors are expensive to replace but many, many modern diesel engine owners haven't had to replace their turbos even after hundreds of thousands of km.

my 2005 diesel innova's engine hasn't needed anything done on her since new and 120K km ago.
just the 5K km oil change.

I now drive a car na gasoline unlike before eh diesel yung dinadrive ko. Cost wise mas magastos talaga yung gasoline and mas maaappreciate mo yun if nadrive mo parehas at binubudget mo na yung pera mo for the car's expenses. If I were you I'll get the Innova. Just my opinion
