October 12th, 2012 08:28 PM #771I may be just a tad bit of a newbie here but I agree that, for the most part, a MTs wins because of its flexibility in use and claimed better fuel consumption than ATs. Though we can't disregard the fact that more advance automatic transmissions are being developed with better and faster response as well as clutch and gearing selections - plus the fact that it comes with better comfort driving. Just look at how the new true dual clutch paddle shifted capable R35 GTR. Kung kaya nila i-adapt yun to the average car, why not di ba - AT all the way na!!! However, it still remains to be seen though.

October 16th, 2012 02:22 AM #772for me manual kasi matipid sa gas, better mileage than the matic, less maintenance costs, ikaw talaga ang may control totally sa kambyo particularly sa mga gears (primera-kinta o yung iba may sixta na) in terms of speed and rpm, at pagtumirik e posible pang mabuhayan just put it in 2nd gear o segunda

November 7th, 2012 11:42 AM #773the best ang automatic sa kotse... but i prefer manual because hindi kah aantokin sa long drive because it demands more attention from the driver and correct more control over the car. and perhaps you can use all the power up to the red line full potential of the car on my opinion ..

December 3rd, 2012 02:08 PM #774fuel sufficient when pairing a mt to a diesel engine ... in gas version you tend to push hard up to the rev limit, and also here in Philippines where used to using mt most car kasi, also magastos ang maintenance ng automatic over mt but still automatic has significant advantage you will be focus on the road no problems on traffic. the disadvantage of manual on traffic i think when at slope...but still the better way of understanding the advantage or disadvantage is for you to try on a vehicle that you will buy which every it might be a automatic or manual... try to test drive it because there's always a difference when driving car from an SUV from their transmission department.. but at long distance provincial road just like here mt is suitable...

actually mas magastos ang maintenance ng MT kumpara sa AT. sa AT change ATF lang solb ka na pero sa MT may gear oil clutch cable at plates kang dapat i maintain.
ako sa AT ako dahil na din sa comfort and yung FC very minimal na ang difference sa MT. if you know how to "use" an AT kaya mo ma control ang pag change ng gear just like in an MT, nasa paa lang yan.

if you follow the regular change interval ng atf your AT will last as long as the engine can drive it. AT usually last longer than the car's engine.
Replaced with the Pilot Sport 5 na ata, but the available sizes aren't yet as broad as the PS4.
