Vios lang ba bro or pati mga new Toyota vehicles? pero yung na-drive kong Revo before kasi wala namang apak sa clutch, volunteer pa ako tapos di ko maistart wahahaha, buti nalang sanay naman ako sa M/T.

yup, handbreak technique is the best option kung M/T ka.

Ako dati nung natutuo magdrive corolla dx gamit ko. Manual and hindi power steering.

Kahit ano pang makina, transmission at fuel yan, dapat alam mong timplahin.

Heto pa gasolina para sa flame-bait:

M/T's are for those who cannot afford their ride's A/T variant/s. :evillaugh

Talagang mas madali mag hanging sa manual na diesel, because of the low end torque.

Hand brakes are useless there, well thats if mabigat auto mo... and me trapik sa taas dahil me nag baba ng tamad mag lakad na passenger nila, at walang consideration sa mga naka hanging sa spiral way...

Not advisable. Ginawa ko dati yan. Ang baho....nasunog clutch ko.

+ 1 ako dito. We owned an a/t before. traded it up for a m/t. reason... Fun! to think invecsII yung a/t, ok din naman. yun nga lang, hinahanap kasi ng left foot ko yung clutch.

    i don't mind driving a M/T but if i have choice, i'll go for A/T.

err, walang A/T variant ang ibang kotse like mine hehe.

anyway, siguro 1 good reason ay dahil mas mura nang around 50-100k almost, and for me, magandang reason na rin yung para kumuha nang M/T hehe.

Then your car's not for those who like A/T, simple as that.

    My point exactly!

E di hindi para sa mga maka-M/T ang Mazda 3. Simple.

Even if that's the case, just because they didn't make a TDCi turbo diesel A/T doesn't mean they can't. I didn't say that all top of the line models are A/T and I didn't say that those who buy top of the line M/T's are in the same league as those who cannot afford A/T variants.

But seriously, marami rin namang batikang drivers na nagsawa na lang sa M/T kaya gusto na nila sa A/T and it doesn't mean they're old and lame.

Someone told me that on driving, once you go Auto, you don't wanna go Mano

I've been weaned on MT for a long time, and have pretty much built my skills with hanging on a steep incline with a MT (Shangrila parking, RCBC Plaza parking, Baguio, hehe). But, I prefer using an AT for my daily drive to and from work. Less to worry about in traffic, less stress overall, which translates to being less tired when I reach the office in the morning and when I return home at night. But yeah, I still use an MT time and again (my backup car is an MT) especially if I wanna do the occasional recreational driving on weekends/holidays.

And so I agree with woohoo... just because I prefer driving an AT right now doesn't mean I'm old and lame: I just wanna direct my energies at other more important things.

i love M/t, but its tiring at congested traffic.
i love A/t, but its boring at high speeds(walang feeling nung shifting gears).

    for me, quits lang

tried this one with my altis, wala naman naging problem saken sa ganun katarik na hanging. hehe napagpraktisan ko to nung matarik pa yung garahe namen.

i guess close to 100% ng mga nakapag-drive na ng MT vehicles have experienced that. it just depends on the location and situation. part of the learning experience. but still, medyo nakakahiya nga talaga hehe. guilty din ako diyan.

the hardest incline i ever encountered was at the tagaytay highlands. grabe, kinabahan ako nung turn ko na kase convoy kame, isa isa kame umakyat palabas kase loaded kame lahat. good thing was, walang nabitin samen. charge na sa experience. btw, lahat kame MT (altis, vios 1st gen, escape)

i remember that day, yung shuttle nila na AT previous gen HIACE, hindi makaakyat at hindi na din umuusad, kinailangan pa magbawas ng pasahero para makaakyat but its not overloaded. and its diesel. hehe at wala ng krudo yung shuttle

I've been driving for 8 years na since 15 and puro manual ang kotse namin sa bahay.

Most china made cars dito walang AT. Puro MT. Cheaper kasi.

Almost all high end cars (consumer not sports) e AT. Think Mazda, Ford, Lexus, etc. etc. Most of the high end models are AT or with AT. Tail end models puro manual (re:base models)

In the end it's your preference. Still the more expensive cars are AT or a variant of it.
