OT: Hehehe! Same, just got my anniversary month (i.e., end of year) bonus last dec 31. It is part of the package. Ang pwede mawala yung monthly bonus.

The worry is of course low oil prices mean oil companies have very little money for drilling new wells. No drilling now means lower supply later. Then speculators come in. Then you'll see the return of $160/barrel of oil like in 2008. Then you will be complaining of P80/liter of unleaded, maybe more! The lower the price goes the higher will be the rebound. History na yan.

Unlike the Mz3 though which had a second gen model as early as 2008, wala pa talagang new Lancer EX even in the global market. The Lancer was released in 2008 here, so it's going on 7 years, with a refresh in 2013.

Globally, Mitsubishi is cutting costs and shutting down plants, and they are opting to focus on SUVs and pickups, which is why no new Lancer is in development yet. Talk of the motoring world though is that Mitsubishi might partner with Renault/Nissan to use their c-segment platform for their next compact car. No definite timeline yet, but definitely not this year or next. General rule of thumb is that a new model usually comes out a year or two after the concept vehicle is launched, and in this case there isn't even a concept car to watch out for.

Yes, from the LTO, which I cited in the first post of that thread. Alangan namang sakin nagpaparegister ang mga sasakyan.

Anyway, this is getting out of topic. You can go back to bashing the Lancer EX and crooning about the Altis, at least that's relevant to the thread.

Yes we're having a healthy discussions here. Binibigyan lang natin si buyer ng different point of views in choosing the right car for him. Chilax!

Then why do you keep on bashing the Lancer na parang sinusumpa mo?

    Or.....

Not sure if the TS already decided.

but for me I'd rather go with the Altis.

Performance isn't that far behind from the 2.0 mitsu.
FC is better especially in the city.
Space..so much more with the Altis.

    after 5 years...

    resale value a lot better
    parts everywhere
    even more traffic

would I buy a well maintained 5yr old altis 1.6cvt....yes
would I buy a well maintained 5yr old lancer 2.0cvt...no.

Had a lancer.....now using altis. Both are great cars. Lancer has a cheaper automatic transmission than the altis. But for asthetically it's altis.

Personally, for comfort and smooth riding altis is a good choice plus factor would be the durability and less maintenance when it comes with Toyota.

I would consider, i'm working in Toyota you could email me at jellalapitanrivera*yahoo.com for some inquiries and for our packages.

    Thank you.
I have seen a couple of posts with the same message and you are openly advertising Toyota. I would assume that if you were working for Mitsubishi, you would be promoting the Lancer in place of the Altis. There is a proper venue in Tsikot for such advertisements.

Hi guys! Thanks for the inputs. Pero question lang kasi I'm planning to extend the budget a little more and honestly since 1st car and reward ko para sa sarili ko for working hard hehe How do you compare the gt 86 with my previous 2 choices? Medyo nagugustuhan ko kasi siya lately

    Thanks in advance!

Add ko lang pala do you think the gt 86 is worthy of keeping in lets say 10 years?

Altis din ako. Maganda ang 86 kung sa maganda but do you see many people buying 10+ yr old sports cars these days? Just my opinion though. It is your money. Whatever wil make you happy.
