Altis G
Lancer GTA
20% ng MSRP (approx. P240k).
Part kasi 'yan ng "No DP Promo" nila. In- House, 5yrs. term.
Kung ang presyo ng Altis V ay katulad na rin ng GTA,
in- house terms and interest rate is the same... sa GTA pa rin ako.
Panalo ka na sa discount, panalo ka pa sa porma. Just me, wala pa ring kakupas- kupas
ang arrive ni GTA.
Sir, this is just 1 of the many critical data to consider when buying or choosing the right car. But sabi ko nga, isa lang ito sa marami dapat iconsider. I do research sa lahat ng aspect and details ng car bago ako bumili. Even yun CAN communication (controlled area network) na ginagamit sa control box ng car ay kinoconsider ko. Pinaghihirapan natin ang pera pambili ng car kya we need to select yung pinakabest.![]()
i think mitsu has announced that this will be the last of the lancer line.
so lancer aficionadoes, this may be your last chance to buy one, new.
altis would-be buyers, you still have some years to buy the current generation.
it would appear the lanceristas really love their cars, and are willing to overlook the "fuel issue"..
and from a visual standpoint, i agree.. lancer looks more macho than many cars out there.
the altis... is a toyota.. and carries with it all the real and perceived advantages therein..
and it would appear that to many car owners, "it's a toyota" is still a strong argument.
buying the bestseller is a pretty strong but lazy argument, though, in my opinion.
i'm just an ordinary motorist, and not really into the nitty-gritty of facts and figures, bells and whistles, toys and borloloys, for and against..
personally, i like the altis more. just sitting in the showroom, i find the ergonomics / creature comforts of the altis, more to my body's liking. perhaps buyers should try 'em both out first..
have fun, buyers.
Yes there is. Gargoyle30 lifted that data from a thread I posted, without even citing.

Referring to sales data does not prove that the Lancer is a better car than the Altis. In that graph you stole off my thread without even citing, you can see that Toyota leads almost all segments. Does that automatically mean Toyota makes the best cars? Not really - it just means that Toyota sells the most cars. It can be because of a plethora of reasons - from strong brand equity, good reliability track record, high resale value, ease of ownership, competitive pricing, and so on, but you can't make a definitive conclusion based on sales data alone.
I wonder, are proper citation and critical data analysis such rare skills these days?

Yup, tama si jut703. Galing yan sa thread nya. Print screen ko lang pra mabilis ko mapost yun info. Very useful information pra sa car buyers![]()
It is? I thought it was only the Lancer Evolution line that is being discontinued. Odd that they would be phasing out their mainstream challenger.
Between the two, if it's the 1.6L Altis versus the 2.0GT-A, I'd go for the GT-A. Very aggressive and what I perceive as very timeless design. If resale value and fuel consumption are very big factors though, the Altis would be the more practical choice.

the impression i got, was that the entire lancer line was being discontinued. and that included the evolution.
but given the nature of the beast that is the automobile industry, i wouldn't be surprised if the lancer's replacement, reeked of lancer technology.
palit pangalan.. kaunting palit kaha.. pareho makina.. pareho suspension..
in-house badge replacement technology.. who can understand.."
heh heh.

11th generation altis will be there for another 3-4 years. Hintayin mo na lang next release ng lancer kung kaya pa. Kung may new release ang lancer, pde pa mgbago choice ko. Wag magmadali bumili. Pro kung di kn mkpghintay, go for altis.
There won't be a new Lancer in the coming year or two, so hindi pa maluluma yung current Lancer EX. It will most likely surpass the 1st gen Mazda 3 which was sold in the Philippines for 8 years before being replaced in 2012. Unlike the Mz3 though which had a second gen model as early as 2008, wala pa talagang new Lancer EX even in the global market. The Lancer was released in 2008 here, so it's going on 7 years, with a refresh in 2013.
Globally, Mitsubishi is cutting costs and shutting down plants, and they are opting to focus on SUVs and pickups, which is why no new Lancer is in development yet. Talk of the motoring world though is that Mitsubishi might partner with Renault/Nissan to use their c-segment platform for their next compact car. No definite timeline yet, but definitely not this year or next. General rule of thumb is that a new model usually comes out a year or two after the concept vehicle is launched, and in this case there isn't even a concept car to watch out for.
Like I posted above, there won't be a new Lancer anytime in the next 2 years.
Now, like testament11, I'm genuinely curious at your animosity towards the GT-A and your constant nagging to go for an Altis. All you've said is that the Lancer is less efficient and has less sales than a Lancer, which is practically a given since the Lancer has a bigger and more powerful engine, and because anything with a Toyota badge sells like hotcakes in the Philippines.
All the merits of the Lancer have been repeatedly pointed out - more power, more toys (18" rims, Rockford Fosgate audio, paddle shifters, HID, 7 airbags, etc), better handling, and so on. All of which you seem to have ignored. Why so?
