Just buy what you like the most. Para walang buyer’s remorse later on.

    Official wading depth.
Jimny 300mm? Pero kaya hanggang bumpers?
    S-presso ?
    Ecosport 550mm
    Rush 600mm

Rush for a student? MPVs are boring choices for young kids or even yuppies.

A used pickup or hatchback or sedan will do. Spend like 500k for a fairly new vehicle and save the 200km for mods (new rims perhaps, head unit, other accessories).

Pero kung 900k for a new car, I guess a midtrim City or Jazz will be a good choice.

Kung pinost mo lasale csb ateneo crc eh mang-aasar talaga ako.

And pandemic ngayon malabo-labo pa magka physical classes.

For around 700k+, you can buy a used 2013-2014 Forester XT. Around 800k for something a bit newer (2015-2016). It might not have the good looks of a sedan but it is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Eto you get good ground clearance (like PPVs), decent interior & cargo space, AWD handling, plus lots more performance (quickness and speed). It drives like a big sedan also.

If you have around 1M, you can buy a used WRX already.

6km travel, baha, problema sa parking, I'd go for a high ground clearance bike. 500cc or bigger considering your price range. Then again, out of line advice ko na yan haha.

My initial choices is of course sedans (Altis, Mazda 3, Civic) since solo ko lang naman po palagi. However, my dad recommended crossovers nalang po like the mazda cx3/cx5, subaru xv, honda hrv for the added ground clearance.

And currently I am really lost on what car to buy hahahaha sa crossovers I am leaning towards the subaru xv but I’ve read that mahal daw po parts/maintenance kaya bumabalik lagi ako sa civic [emoji28].

Will really appreciate your inputs mga sir!

The extra 5 minutes an SUV buys you can be the difference between being stranded and getting home safely and on time.

May one time palabas ng Taft tumataas na baha tapos hindi gumagalaw traffic and muntik nang lumutang yung Mazda 3 ko if hindi pinagbigyan nung mga SUV na naggive way para makauna, sila ok lang abutan ng baha makakalabas pa naman.

Wala halos benefit sedan - same price lang ang Civic and CRV na secondhand so mag-CRV ka nalang.

I do not understand why people say the ust parking building slots are cramped. I parked my everest and my starex there, maluwag.

Get a 2nd hand fortuner. Use the extra 150k for a proper 3-4" lift and big tires.

Subaru xt? chain driven water pump?

Floods these days go from gutter deep to knee deep in 30 minutes or less.
