sa awa ng Diyos ok na iyong condo nila at incoming freshman na niece ko sa ateneo this school year. ang problema hindi pa din naka-move in doon kasi inabot ng online classes kaya laking disappointment nung pamangkin ko. she was looking forward to her independence kaso na-udlot pa daw

Hello sirs! Kulang po kasi yung naibigay kong info about me to justify having a car and I think that caused a slight misunderstanding between us. First of all po, I am from Cavite, my family is from Cavite, binili lang po ng parents ko yung unit sa Otis para sa aming magkakapatid whenever we opt to study/work in Metro Manila, meron na po kaming titirahan.

Bakit kotse? Bakit hindi nalang bicycle/mag commute since 6km lang distance from school? Aside from my daily route na 6km, uuwi po ako sa amin (Cavite) every week or every other week to get things and syempre to be with my family rin, so having a car can be a huge plus for me. Kapag may mga emergencies din sa bahay, mas mabilis po akong makakauwi.

Bakit hindi mo nalang gamitin yung available na auto sa garage niyo? Gamit-gamit po kasi ng dad ko lagi yung kotse niya kapag pupunta ng mga sites and projects, same with my mom, they both need a vehicle for their jobs. Though meron pa kaming isang spare car, a manual tranny Innova, the car kung saan po ako natuto mag drive, I can't bring it with me kasi kailangan din po siya sa business namin.

I am aware of my privilege and am glad for my parents for being extra, for going beyond by providing me a car. Hopefully, I can return the favor to them the soonest.

Thank you for your advice and tips sirs/titos!

Ahh kung ganoon. Babalik ako sa Toyota Rush E MT. Complete safety features 6 airbags, tamang size pang school at uwian sa Cavite. Hehehe.

Pero okay pa din ang Jazz MT. May enough space pang biyahe. Ecosport ayos din. Civic at Altis safe choices.

Yung Fortuner is still a good reliable option, especially since nabanggit mo pang matagalan sana. Nanggaling ka na sa Innova, so familiar din dapat ito. Yung whether mag diesel or gas ka is personal preference nyu na lang siguru. Personally for me, baka sa gas for the overall comfort, but diesel kung plus points sa iyo ang performance and cargo (assuming paminsan gagamitin mo panghakot).

Alternative na lang yung Innova pa din, but ibang generation siguru if okay sa iyo mag Innova. At least may added flexibility not just for you, but also your family over the course of ownership. As long as okay sa iyo. =)

Yung "wild card" lang sa akin is yung first gen BRV na dumating dito na 5 seater lang, hindi 7 seater na binebenta nila ngayon.

Kung sa brand new as alternative to consider, though I wouldn't call it a recommend is yung MG ZS MT. mahirap lang sabihin kung tatagal talaga yung MG brand dito dahil pasok sa range yung MG ZS. Personally, exterior styling niya, okay naman. passable engine performance. Problema ko, ayaw ko talaga interior niya (maliban sa dashboard niya, am not a fan of sunroofs dito so hindi plus yun sa akin). Haha! Pero ito naisip ko kung bnew talaga. May mga local reviews sa youtube nito na mga owner for a year or more. Walang may idea sa long term reliability ng ZS though, so no guarantees talaga ito. So keep this in mind.

Since weekly/regularly ka uuwi sa Cavite, I personally, wouldn't recommend naman yung "size class" tulad ng Spresso or previous gen Jimny. Yes, kaya niya mag highway, pero (knock on wood), kung may mangyari sa highway, limited surface area lang talaga yung kotse so I would personally lean away from them, lalo kung ako yung parent. Yung Jazz at least, alam ko may capability talaga yung chassis niya kahit papaano kung front passengers kayo. But since walang "pwet" or trunk, may konting worry for rear passengers din at higher speed, but kung yun talaga yung napusuan na kotse, I think the Jazz, as a car, is a "safer" car.

Buy a new car. Iwan sakit ulo + may comprehensive insurance.

Shortlist a few, then test drive

College ka... Galing din kami dyan

    Pogi+speed+rear seat > practicality

After ng college car mo, your next car will be a "tool" (stock and replaced regularly)

I'll stick with the Jazz... di ka magsisisi dito. 2nd choice would be the civic. For sure madami sa mga titos dito sa tsikot ang dumaan at nag-enjoy with their civic during their college years. Agree fellow titos? Hehe!

    in that case,
get another innova or a fortuner. slightly used, para swak sa given budget.
we already know how nice it is...

nakaka-inis rin kasi ma-ipit sa traffic, whilst driving a smaller car.

    xmayor,

Pucha pumalag talaga ako kasi nakafocus me sa civic vti. Eh ayun ako din naman nasunod.

imagine gigimik ako tapos space wagon. Ano ako "soccer uncle"

Why not increase the budget and look for a used 2014-2015 WRX within the 1M range? No need to accessorize.

Why join the many with Civics or Jazz when you can have a tuner car like the WRX? You can have it with a MT tranny or CVT.

Di ba mas cool kung sabihin mo kotse mo is a tuner car like a WRX? No need to accessorize. It’s not an AMG or an M car but it’s a lot cooler than a Civic or Jazz.

Tapos malapit lang FusionR (along ERod) for maintenance.
