Procedure of Change of Ownership

parang iba-iba nga yung procedures..

ask ko lang po,

1st time ako bibili ng 2nd hand car sa isang nag-ad dito.
ano po ang kailangan kong gawin?

Ito mga location na pwede kumuha ng MVC clearance sa Metro Manila. Hirap hanapin, sa PNP crime lab pa na website, hindi sa TMG/HPG website.

you have the option to have it retained muna to the original owner, which means, may option ka na hindi muna ipa change ownership.

or if your option is to have it changed, follow procedures in page 1.

hi po mga sirs.

here's my case, i recently got my car (used). actually open deed of sale sya from the original owner, i also got another DOS from the supposed to be 2nd owner whom i bought the car. I got xerox id's from the original owner with signature.

my issue po is when i have it notarized (DOS between the orig owner & me), the lawyer is asking pa some documents from the original owner like secretary's certificate since nakalagay kasi sa OR/CR nya is the orig owner's name c/o a certain company, otherwise the lawyer cannot execute daw the notarization.
my question is, can't they notarized it ba tlga since i'm still waiting pa kasi for the secretary's certificate from the orig owner to arrive? ganon po ba tlga kahigpit kahit sa notary ngayon na parang sa LTO ko na sinasubmit ung mga documents ko?

any thoughts guys? TIA

if the car is owned by a company, definitely you would need a secretary's certificate to go with the deed of sale. hahanapin talaga yan during notarization.

ah i see. right now, i've driven the car quiet a number of times na rin since i acquired it 2 weeks ago armed with the DOS from the supposed to be 2nd owner, OR/CR named after the orig owner & xerox id's. sa ngayon po kasi, hndi ko pa muna fini-fill up yung open DOS coming from the orig owner as i'm still waiting pa for the sec certificate to arrive, but i always have it all with me every time i drive. if ever i get apprehended, will i be held in question for this? wala bang bisa ang isang DOS if it's not notarized? (well at least, for the purpose if ever i get flagged by traffic authorities, just in case lang nman)

what can you suggest po kaya?

hindi ka naman magkakaproblema nyan in case you get flagged down. just make sure your papers are complete and in order.

i think it was already discussed somewhere sa past pages of this topic bro.
but in my case, my wife & i have some friends in TMG & LTO respectively so pinuntahan na lng namin doon dala ang xerox ng OR/CR.

try looking back po sa topic na ito.
