original owner? hindi ko po kilala eh, eto po yung mga docs na nasa akin:
orig or/cr
open deed of sale (not notarized, blank lahat except dun sa signature ng vendor)
photocopy of drivers license of orig owner (kaso expired na cya, then iba na yung Family Name nya maybe nagasawa na i think, then iba na rin yung address siguro lumipat na compared dun sa cr)
ano kayang pinakamagandang gawin dito para hindi me mahirapan sa Lto kapag nagpatransfer

Nakapagchange of ownership na ako sa LTO..Bale pinalakad ko na lang siya sa owner na may kakilala sa LTO... Ngayon nakuha ko na yung OR/CR tapos name ko na nakalagay kaso nung compare ko siya sa 1st CR na may scanned copy ako merong fields na wala tulad ng "previous CR no." , "Owners Signature". Saan ako ngayon pipirma? ang available lang eh "registrants signature". Ganun ba talaga ang CR ngayon? tapos iba na yung logo sa upper left portion bilog na siya..Wala pa kasi akong time pumunta sa LTO para iverify kung ganun ok yung CR.

Happy_Gilmore, you've been so helpful with all those info and tips. I read through the whole thread however, I'm still a bit unclear about my case.

I'm about to get a used car. I will be the 3rd owner. The CR and OR are both under the name of the 2nd owner, so no problem there (I saw the originals). However, both the CR and OR are registered in Dipolog City. I am based in QC/Manila area. Obviously, going to Dipolog is not an option for me.

To change the ownership, given that the TMG clearance is done, it seems the entire thread proposes 2 options:

1. Go to LTO-Main at East Ave to process the change of ownership

2. Go to my nearest LTO, have them get the "Confirmation Letter" from LTO-Dipolog, wait 2 weeks to 1 month, then return to my nearest LTO again to have it processed?

Will option 1 be a one-stop-shop? meaning, I'll get everthing done in 1 day?

For option 2, does that mean I have to get TMG clearance twice? since it's valid for only 7 days but the "confirmation letter" takes a month

Ask lang ako, same case kasi ung sakin. Yung CR ko e from Cebu city e im from Batangas.

What option did u take and ok nba? how long did it take to process at how much ang expences?

sorry bro. i thought this thread was already deleted.
anyway:

a) have the open deed of sale signed by you. and have it notarized.
b) yung driver's license may work, it may not. i hope you can still contact her and get an updated ID. maski hindi driver's license, basta valid ID (e.g. SSS, Company ID, Voters ID).

actually and nakikita ko lang na problem sa iyo is yung ID eh. hindi issue yung open deed of sale. Just have it notarized before presenting it as supporting documents.

i don't know if the forms in LTO are already new. but as long as it is acquired through valid means, walang problema. they can change the forms as long as they want to and we do not have any control with it. no need to go to LTO just to verify it.
