Another question: what's the best tweeter location? The stock location of my Tweeters are on the dash , facing the windshield. I'm thinking of getting some tweeter pods and relocating them

Thats one of the worst placement for a tweeter. You can use the supplied mounting pod of the tweeter and place it on your dash pointing towards the center but if you dont want anything to be placed on your dash, you can mount it at the side mirror for off axis and control it thru eq of your headunit. Tweeters are directional so dont place it where it will reflect on a glass.

I have a new vios and i never placed my teeeters on the stock location.

The best result will almost always be the a pillar and be as much as possible at ear lever. Thats the only speaker in reality you can choose the location where it will have a clear path.

I’m not satisfied kasi on how the tuning was done after all the hardware was installed. Yong ginawa kasi ng installer yong tuning tenga lang kasi ginamit wala man lang maski a simple voltage measurements using a voltmeter to check on the input and output signal levels at different stages. In my novice opinion parang kulang or hindi tama yong pagkagawa sa installer and wanted to redone it properly in a meticulous manner in my own limited way at no additional cost for optimum SQ. Although newbie lang ako sa car audio, Im a willing learner and could learn fast basta pasensyoso lang yong mag guide sa akin. Can you guys help me with this, please? How do I start with the above given setup?

    Thanks in advance.

First is download test tones to level properly level the gain of your headunit and amplifier. Set the gain properly for it not to clip. Download a 0db 40hz and 1000hz test tone. Place it on a disc or usb. Remove all eq settings, bass boost and any other enhancement from your radio. At 0 gain from you headunit and subwoofer off, play the 40hz test tone. Place the gain on the amp at 0gain. Up the volume of your headunit slowly until you hear the 1000hz tone. Once the tone you hear gives a different tone that is the max volume of your headunit back it down a few level Until you hear the cleanest tone. Then set your amp gain slowly until the tone you hear produce a different tone, once you reached it back down a bit, thats the max gain of your amplifier. Then go to your subwoofer gain on your amplifier. Play the 40hz tone. Remove first the rca on your speakers. Adjust the gain slowly until you hear a different tone. Back it down until it produces a clean tone. Thats the max gain in your subs amplifier. Now put back the rca of your seperates. Adjust the eq to your liking.

I almost forgot... be sure to check if your speakers are wired correctly. I mean the polarity.

You can watch all of these how to in youtube.

Thanks. Ive used some aluminum tweeter pods and mounted it on the a pillar. Height is around 3 inches off the dash. Where should I ideally point them? I've tried playing around but the highs really sounds harsher now haha. Also my car's really cramped everything's blocking the tweeter lol.

For the tweets, most car doors have mounts for tweeters so just use them. If your tweeters would not fit the door mounts, you can make a custom mount and place them on the A pillar or use pods placed at the base of the A pillar. Be sure to point the tweeters towards the center area of the car, between the two front seats to maximise sound staging.
Thanks. I'm taking out my spare tire now to build a bigger box. I bought one of those cheap tire inflators just in case though

Try to angle them. Pointing at the center where your dome lights are located. Try to put it as far as you can in your dashboard since its quite tall.
Sound signature ng jbl talaga ang harsh teeeters. theres a switch or botton at the crossover for your tweeters or if not go to your eq and drop the highs until you get the sweet spot.

Short answer, yes! Stock oem Head Units are made and designed for stock speakers. You already have a lot of after market car audio gears, logic will dictate that it's only right to install a after market Head Unit as well.

try Egghead Audiohub, maybe you can find a DAP to match your 10k budget [emoji848]

do you still have hi-res music in storage? i was using a DAP before (a Fiio) but not anymore. i used as source the smartphone now with music streaming Spotify.
