same here bro. wala na kasi yung KAC noh? dati dun maganda mag-abangers sa mga mabilis magsawa sa mga gears nila. sa pdvd meron for sale na mga car audio items like image dynamics na subs, napapaisip ako if i add a sub to augment yung bass, yun nga lang need enclosure pa and amplification.

Yung isang member ng fb SQ manila gumawa ng Buy n sell group for sq gears. Pero sa cassp ko nabili yung tempo ultra and micro dimensions ko. Sa pdvd ko rin nabili yung onkyo avr ko dati. Dami din makakati dun sa mga home hi-fi hehehe.
Can't go wrong with a sub lalo na if may space naman. Ako nga walang space dahil pick-up yung vehicle ko but still waiting na baka meron may-ari ng JL 10tw3 sub na magka upgrade itch.

Not a fan of underseat sub. I'll DIY custom built na lang my enclosure. Either mdf or fiberglass kahit papano it can go lower than an underseat sub.

Kailangan mag DIY sir dahil the nearest audio installer sa area ko is 300km away hehehe.
What I mean po is I'll buy a sub na lang and build my own enclosure rather than buy a powered underseat sub.
Underseat sub can only do so much. Yung kicker hide away underseat sub is around 16k, the Focal IBus kahit yung gen 1 is 20k above. DLS is going to bring in their own underseat sub but dont know when and magkano price. With that amount of money I could buy a JL 10tw3 shallow sub at around 17k, wider cone surface, longer excursion and more powerful kahit mga 0.34cu ft lang enclosure ko makaka produce ako ng mga 56hz at 0 db. Yun nga lang kailangan pa amp.
I would be more than happy if I can produce kahit 50Hz dahil as per the graph below from WinISD app, mag roll-off ako at around 45hz.

Fingers cross na tama input ko ng T/S parameters.
This app also helps me decide if worth ba ang 17k na JL or ok na ang 5k na Infinity reference

ah ok bro, talagang DIY route ka if malayo ang installer sayo. nasa ballpark nga ng presyo na binanggit mo mga active underseat subs. i inquired about the likes of rainbow, ryan audio, ground zero. pros lang ay active na sila so no need for separate amplification. they may not go or play at very low frequency pero just to augment the bass, pwede na.

I would suggest to install the amp on a different mount than putting it on the subwoofer box. You can use slim depth subwoofers with minimal sealed volume enclosures to save space. I have used before a 10” subwoofer with just 1 cubic feet (internal) of sealed enclosure and it offered decent low frequency sounds that matched my audio system.

If opting for an amp, I would suggest a 5-channel amp as the 5th channel is usually a dedicated mono output for a subwoofer. You can even use it to run a 2-way full active setup. There are those Class D amps that are small enough that could fit under the seats.

Mga back seat drivers ko kasi sanay na sa space under the front seats since nakakastretch sila ng todo and may aircon vents na rin don. There might be space on the trunk sidewall pero it will not be big enough for a 4 or 5 channel amp.

Physical dimensions of the amp depends sa design and rating ng manufacturer po. But in general, class D amps are smaller if compared sa class AB. Around mga ilang watts na sub po ba plan nyo ilagay? Stetsom and kicker have some 600wrms at 2ohms with around 7"x8" Or the pioneer GM seires mga 10" if di ka naman ma selan sa THD. But if you want lower distortion then medyo pricey ang mga yan like zapco, helix or genesis, etc.
Any amps naman can be installed on the sidewall and your sub enclosure would have either a spring or threaded type terminals so you can disconnect the box anytime.

^ both my car and van have 10" subwoofers in custom enclosures made by the installer, they are wired in XLR connection kaya easy to remove if i need the trunk. power is coming from 5ch amps installed and tucked in neatly and out of view under seat. my suv have no amplifier and subwoofer, all power coming from HU but the front speakers upgrade was good enough for me that tonality wise, i felt that i don't need a sub. lately, i was with a friend with the same car fitted with an under seat sub, well i think that i need one now

Hi guys hingi lang sana ako ng feedback/review sainyo regarding Morel Primo 10" and JL Audio W3V3
I'm currently using a Hertz Energy 250.5 on a sealed box driven by Steg DST401D
I want to know first if i would notice the difference if i change my subwoofer from my choices, thanks mga idol
