firstly that machine runs way way more orbits than a PC, a PC can only go up to around 6k+ OPM's and that machine can go way up to 18kOPMS so i really don't advice you to go any higher than 3.5, at most 4 would be the maximum setting, at setting 4 you're already doing twice more OPM's than the PC at speed 6 which is a little scary, thats the main reason why we had the motor changed with ours, its because OPM's are good for buffing the paint to a high gloss but not really correcting, if you want to correct the paint you really need the slow rotation of the machine in order to slowly and finely abrade the finish, so without rotation all you're doing is buffing the paint to a high gloss, i mean if we could already get the right correction with the stock machine why would we change the motor? we had to change the motor to a motor that has half the OPM's but twice the torque at maximum setting before we got the same correction as a PC at setting 5

next since i've mentioned that you need the rotation in order to correct paint, my next question would be, while you are buffing the paint is the backing plate or pad rotating at about at least 1 rotation per second? if the pad and backing plate is not rotating then you need to lighten up the pressure, correcting paint with a ROP requires pressure to level the paint but you also have to put pressure to do that effectively and 1 rotation per second is the ideal rotation of a ROP, so you might have to adjust the pressure you are putting on the machine

next is method, and this mainly involves keeping the pad flat nearly all the time, and method also includes how to buff edges and working the product properly, there's a certain work time you need with swirlX, and if you're good enough swirlX won't really dry up fast giving you more correcting ability

lastly is pad and product combination as what jmpet said, if you're using swirlX with a white pad, try it again with an orange pad, if its still there try it again with a yellow pad, but since its swirlX i would say you're better with a yellow pad, swirlX can only remove the lightest swirls so you need a stronger and more abrasive pad to tackle light swirls

after taking into consideration all of these, thats the only time i would recommend you use UC, UC with a yellow pad on a PC can already tackle some heavy to moderate defects but again thats with a PC, take note your ROP currently has just about half of PC's correcting ability due to lack or torque, it is however better than a PC in terms of applying sealants and glazes

i remember my BF tell me that a few weeks ago matt came to his place and he taught matt how to use the PC, they only used megs83 and a yellow pad at speed 4 on the PC to remove moderate defects, megs83 is nearly the same as swirlx so in that scenario you really might need to change to a yellow cutting pad or even a purple foam wool pad and then just follow it up with the white for finishing

1. when i put pressure on the ROP the rotation decreases that's why i try at speed 3, but when i apply light pressure i think it can rotate 1 rotation/secs . how many passes of ROP should i do for the swirlx?
so i can use aggressive pad w/ swirlx with light pressure at max setting of 4?

2. yes i always keep my LC white pads flat all the time. (ordinary pads not the ccs) i also remove some of the light swirls, but some of the swirls is still there. its not rids. i have 2 white pads, 1 blue, and 1 orange.

3. can i use UC with white pads? at maximum speed of 4? how many passes?

4. what do you recommend to remove light scratches that cannot remove by swirlx ? its not that deep. can i use the rubbing compound by hand? or just use UC with white pads on it?

5. whats the best water mark remover on the winshield, windows? and best sealants for glasses as well? any best procedure and products that works best?

6. whats the best protectant for black plastics and rubbers? i want endurance and looks new again....

ill upload my 1st detailing..
