didn't have any issues applying Aquartz and Cquartz has better ease of application. overall, a win win for the DIY detailers
Ah, I've been reading about this - reviews on durability have been very impressive. Still wary about application - wouldn't want to make a mistake there, haha

well they should just put it out there and if it's not up to snuff, then we won't patronize it. just saying.

as for me, i didn't find any snag in the application. 1 square foot at a time. patience, and if their claims of added hardness and water spot prevention are true, then it's more time and effort saved.

Yes that's ok. Just make sure you give the Nanoglos time to cure prior to applying the 915, and same with the 915 before using your OGE. About four hours would suffice in both cases. The 915 is already one of the most durable waxes out there, should be good for two months, maybe more, in the summer.

I'm going to have 7 panels repainted on my car due to vandalism. ouchie. (all doors, hood, trunk, and 1 rear fender).
    I have 2 questions.

    1. I want to ask them to put an extra layer of clear coat on the repainted panels for added protection. Would this be a good idea?

    2. Since the paint will be new when it comes out, are there any products I can use to protect the new paint?

    ouchies.

    1. yes it would be.

    2. use 3m IHG for a bit of maintenance and shine if you feel the need, otherwise wash with plain car shampoo and wait for the CC manufacturer's recommended curing time.

If you can get it, you can also use Optimum Car Wax on new paint - Optimum have confirmed that it is safe for use on new paint.

Hello I have talked to the developer of optimum and yes you can use OCW for freshly painted cars, it will not disturb the curing process and glazes do offer protection but no where what real waxes can offer

    mga detailing gurus

comment naman po sa regimen ko if any suggestions or tama ba to ginawa ko?

    * wash (polyglaze shampoo and wash mitt)
    * hose down the shampoo
    * dry using the yellow synthetic chamois
    * use mother's carnauba cleaner wax per panel
    * buff manually using a MF towel per panel din
    * apply microtex Nanoglos (damp ba dapat applicator pad?)per panel then buff again using a Plush MF (green color ) wala na ba waiting time to?after ko apply then buff agad? yun kasi gawa ko e.
*wait 6 hrs then apply a Turtle wax na yung kulay green na liquid (hard shell ba tawag dun?bigay lang kasi to e hehehe)then buff also per panel application.

all suggestions and comments are most welcome hehehehe trying hard na detailer kasi ko e

threx, kahit di mo na pinatungan yung nano glos. when you get the 476s, you could apply it after a paint cleaner.

if you haven't, please read the tamang oc guide.

    *sir indiej ,

    maraming salamat po

ganun po ba?sir , tama na po ba yun mga steps ko?

ex ; yun cleaner wax po ba , no need to cure yun?after na iaaply sya sa panel e pwede na agad ibuff pag naghaze na yun panel na inaplayan?

*ganun din sa NanoGlos no need to wait , basta naghaze na ok na yun pwede na ibuff agad?tsaka yung sa applicator ba dapat basa sya same as when applying Nanoglos and wax?

btw po pala sir where to buy po pala yun ONR or OGe yun dinidilute na pang QD?, mas matipid yata yun e

and last Q na lang sirs, ano po pala ginagawa nyo if example naulanan kayo tapos me beading pa sya?hose down with water , then dry with chamois. then? kasi po yun lang ginagawa ko e pero duda ko me mali dun e.

    http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77542

i'm sure the product has instructions on the label. allow to haze then buff off. if you want to wax again, do it next time after you wash your car again. cure time 8 hours or more.

i do not recommend layering wax. you can make succeeding applications to even the coat or hit areas you've missed.
check the first post of http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=130901 which umi pointed out before.

Look for Ravi - he posted a thread here at this same sub-forum a few months back (should just be on page 2 or 3).

Your question's a bit confusing - exterior detailing does not mean a wax or glaze which is applied to the paint - it's a service that involves using polishes and (if needed) compounds to remove swirls and scratches from the paint, leaving you with a smooth, marring-free finish. How long your paint will stay that way is entirely up to how you take care of it afterwards; if you wash using the proper technique and apply protection on a periodic basis, you can keep your paint in good condition for a long time, without needing to polish. On the converse, if you bring your car to a kanto carwash immediately after the detailing service, you can expect swirls and scratches to be induced immediately.

Now, if you were referring to the sealant which they apply after the detailing service, what they told me when I asked was that they used Eagle One. I was a bit confused, as Eagle One doesn't really make any sealants (none that I can find on their website anyway), but I guess they were referring to Eagle One Nanowax. I don't have any firsthand experience with this, but based on some reading, durability doesn't seem to good, so it would be best to apply a more durable wax or sealant after the detailing session.
