Procedure is always clay first before applying pre-wax cleaner, there are a lot of pre-wax cleaners out there and most have different levels of cut and functions and effects, there are some just remove old layers of wax and sealants, some are a little more aggressive in the sense that some can remove ultra fine swirls and scratches, after using the pre-wax cleaner you apply a glaze, the moms step 2 glaze has very very mild polishes that just helps improve the gloss nothing more, it can't really do any proper correction on the paint its just for gloss and it contains fillers that can hide swirls temporarily, if you want to remove the scratches and swirls permanently then you should really use a polish, and yes Step 2 is a wipe on wipe off product, but with some people they get better results when the work the product a little bit by going over it for a few more passes. Synwax is also good in terms that for me it provides better protection and the shine lasts longer, synwax has a more reflective and mirror shine as compared to carnauba's but you could always slap on a layer of carnauba on top of synwax, for this you might want to try and cure it for 8 hours, synwax for me is a little different since for me its really not a pure sealant as compared to carlack and other acrylic sealants. if you really want the scratches to go away, you might have to buy 2 products, one is swirlX and one is scratchX, you use swirlx for light swirls and scratches, and scratchx for the deeper ones.

So those Step 1, 2, 3 products, regardless of brand, are mostly for cars that, more or less, are in really tip top shape? Those that need only very minor corrections? Bigla ako nanghinayan sa mga binili ko... huhuhu But then, once ma restore ko yung exterior, ito na puwede ko gamitin

Which means, kailangan ko ng polish! Aside from SwirlX and ScratchX, any other suggestions?

Sa wax naman, kailangan ko talaga mag hanap ng carnauba...

I think before I buy anything again, pa diagnose ko muna sa inyo nila Sir Ed sa Sunday, and the other gurus who might be there

and about buying the "wrong" things? ganyan rin ako, sir. bumili ako ng step 3 a couple of weeks bago yung seminar with sir edwin - ibang klase talaga yung collinite na nakuha ko mula sa kanya in terms of durability.

I've been lurker here for a few months (Yes I've backread but a few pages only) and di ko na matiis at medyo naguluhan na ako sa dame ng products

For newbie like me, I'll start with Mother's product since this is the accessible product in the market.

1.)Is is ok to skip the Step 1 then apply the Step 2 & 3? Or required talaga step 1?
2.)If Step 1 is required, do I need to apply the clay? Medyo madumi kase bubong balak ko i-clay. Ano po mauna, Clay or Step 1?
3.)May interval po ba pag-apply ng mga wax? Step 1 1hr then Step 2 ...etc?
4.) How do I remove watermarks on the hood?

Sorry if my questions has been asked before, medyo naguluhan lang kase ako sa dame ng products talaga. Please if may recommend kayo yung madali lang sana hanapin and no need to order from autogeek ba yun?

Btw, I have all the materials needed for the detail, except for the buffing machine. So wax,clay,sealer&glaze na lang hanap ko.

OT lang: huhuuhu.. tumawag ako sa insurance.. yung repair ng jazz ko aabutin ng 9 days. ma-mimiss ko siya. sana sa 9 days na yun di nila i-wash ang car ko. kung hindi swirl galore na naman!

Anyhoo, after almost 2 weeks nung nagapply ako ng nano gloss then 476. napansin ko.. medyo nababawasan na yung ganda ng beading. hindi kagaya ng pag476 yung base wax ko. although baka dahil na din sa sobrang lakas ng ulan ngayong past few days. we'll see pagdating ng 4th week.

subukan kong sagutin.
1. Puwedeng iskip ang step 1 pero if its the first time the car will be detailed and kung matagal na ang car.. mas maganda na istep 1. This will remove paint oxidation na din of your car.
2. Better clay para maganda ang surface prep. after wash, clay po then step1.
3. Wala na pong curing time ang Step1 and 2. yung step 3 lang ang meron.. usually ang waxes 4-8 hours ang curing time. thats if youll apply another coat of step 3 or other waxes.
4. regarding water marks.. depende sa water marks. pagmineral deposit lang alam ko makukuha pa ng clay or cleaner wax. pagetched na.. you might want a professional detailer to look at it. last eb yung mga watermarks ni doc.. natanggal yung iba sa m66 then m83.

Honestly, my car is just 2 months old and dame na agad watermarks. Sa windshield I used the Elevo and Micro Magic Repellant combo so far effective. But sa hood mukhang nag etch na talaga sir. Kanina ko lang nakita eto. Nagkaroon yata sya nung watermark after my wife clean our car under the sunlight

Anyway, may question po ako dito:

So Apply Step 1, 2 and 3. If I wanted to re-apply Step 3 do I need to wait 3-4 hours?

re-application lang ng step 3 ang kailangan ng curing time.. step 1,2,3 pwedeng tuloy tuloy lang ang pagapply after buffing off sir.
