*jmpet626: i haven't tried it on wheels but i've had great success with body panels, but you could try this http://www.autopia-carcare.com/realwhda.html my BF sent me that link but i laughed at his first attempt on repairing his curb gash but don't let that stop you from trying, what i recommended was mainly for paint chips and short deep scratches hehe, as for the sandpaper any water-proof sandpaper would do, i got my 1500 and 2000 from Ace, i forgot where i got my 2500 and 3000 but i think its from either Handyman or from some paint store. if you are planning on just filling the chips, nicks and deep scratches then you can start with 1500 grit, but if you're planning on doing an area, this is when you might want to go down to 600 grit for the paint to stick, this is usually done by DIY'ers that have their own air compressor and spraygun.

Hehe it's no big deal.

Oww. Under warranty po ba? Kulitin nyo na lang Toyota hehe. Dapat ayusin nila yon . Or better yet dun nyo po ipa-ayos sa may mga good feedbacks na Toyota casa

    *doc
Hahaha.

:hysterical:
Its still under warranty, but you know them, they'll always try to look for something to void the warranty, we're on our way back there in a few minutes, i just hate the fact that every time we bring it over things just get worse, and one more thing i hate is that every we bring my BF's innova there we always see scratches around the engine area.

BTW you want to "detail" that persons car? try using TW Rubbing compound, thats sure to break the paint more than diamond cut hahaha

Hey for the EK don't get too lazy ok? hahaha how do you find the ONR?

Hehe thanks sir! Naku sir sarap po sa pakiramdam yang black kapag bagong detail, parang salamin at candy-coated yung paint. Actually nung pinapapili pa lang kami ng kulay ng Vios namin gusto ko black eh haha kahit that time di pa ko marunong mag-detail.

    >> It is quite shocking to know this, knowing parehong Japanese ang Toyota at Nissan, kasi never had problems with Nissan kahit saang casa (tatlo na na-try ko)...type ko pa naman yung bagong Camry pero kung ganiyan pala ang mga Toyota Service Centers...medyo isip na

Paki-define nga po yung difference ng "more depth" at "reflective shine"? Pagkakaintindi ko kasi eh:

more depth: yung tipong parang kumakapal ang clearcoat (thus an improvement in color, may glass effect)

OT: Nako. Hmm, mahirap nga yan. Buti na lang ok pa naman Vios namin in its past PMS. 16.5k na ODO namin di pa napapa 15k PMS, nakakainis amoy usok na nga yung engine oil nung chineck ko .

Haha. Swerte nya ma'am wala akong TW Rubbing Compound.

    BTT:
For the EK, it's just that nakakawalang-gana na kasi minsan. Parang lahat sira. Problem is ayaw ipaayos kasi yung mga maliliit na sira, like squeaking, side mirrors, PAINT!

Coming from 1.3 engine kasi ako.

*chicks, tamaaaa! ganda talaga ng black pag well maintained yung paint nia. Sana matutunan ko yung tamang technique for honda paint. Eto sample photo nia after session with BB:

Thanks for the heads up guys! Really appreciate this thread, dami ko natutunan specially from your experiences!

Mam pag nagrerepair lang po ako ng very rough damages like pag na peel na yung top and base coat. That's also the advise in Painteducation.com. I admit that you can really ruin the finish with 600 and 300. It requires extra care. For wetsanding minor scratches, I start with 1000 above grit.

mga pafs, wud it make any sense to combine Mom's Step 3 and 476s?

also, how will i get rid of blur spots caused by using rubbing compoound? I'm planning to use moms step 2, is that enough?

476s muna then moms step 3. Personally para sakin enough na ang 476s mas magandang i layer na lang ang 476s every 6 to 8 hours kesa lagyan ng ibang product.

pwedeng-pwede yung 476s tapos Mom's Step3. Yan ang favorite combi ko.

regarding blur spots, you can try polishes first.

Sorry I forgot to answer your question about the ONR.

Hmm, it's actually a great clay lube, and a great cleaner! Ginamit ko siya sa EK kanina before going to school and it looks like I just washed it! Take note clay lube diluted yung ginamit ko ah, di pa yung dilution ng QD talaga. Another good thing about it is it's versatile. Waterless wash, rinseless wash, cleaner QD, and a clay lube. Hehe. Ipon pa uli ako para dyan haha.

BTW, can I use it if the car is wet? Lakas ng ulan ngayong gabi and for sure hugas na naman ako bukas sa Vios. Dammit
