January 10th, 2010 11:26 PM #3211*mikoboi2009: QD's are used after LSP's to remove left over wax/sealants but QD's are not considered LSP's, QD's are used for quick touch ups only lets say you want to remove dusts and some very light contaminants in the paint. Now as for you question regarding Topcoat, if you're already using Step 3 then you don't have to use Topcoat anymore. Both Step 3 and Top Coat are considered LSP's. So its either you want a carnauba LSP Step 3, or you want a synthetic polymer LSP Top Coat, If its protection you're after then using just one of these would already do the job since layering both these two would not contribute that much to durability and protection based on my experience, but if you're after added gloss and added depth then putting on Top Coat over a coat of Step 3 would definitely give a slight boost to your cars appearance although it doesn't last that long.

January 11th, 2010 12:37 PM #3213*mikoboi2009: hmmm that would depend on what look you want. Megs Hot Shine Tire Gel and Gold Class Endurance gives a nice and glossy wet look, its good for showing off but sadly it doesn't last that long, you could also get an All Season Dressing from Megs Simex, same appearance as both i've mentioned but lasts a little longer, its water based so it should be a lot safer as compared to oil based ones but the down side is that you have to buy a spray bottle for it. Mothers Tire Shine is also nice, very economical a slight notch down as compared to its Megs counterpart but definitely a lot cheaper and it already comes with a sprayer so using it makes it a breeze. You could also opt for what BB uses the Red Carpet Tire Cream, its in a plastic can and you apply it by using a sponge, its more on the matte finish so your tires don't look all glossy and wet but it gets more of a brand new look, the Mothers i've mentioned also gives this look.

January 12th, 2010 03:52 AM #3215*chickselog: I think i got my Red Carpet Tire Cream from BB for 175 bucks, and one plastic container already goes a long way since you use this sparingly i doubt its imported but as far as i know only BB sells this stuff, I got my Mothers Tire Shines from the US when i had a balikbayan box filled up with detailing materials and there's i think 3 kinds of Tire Shine from Mothers, but basically they're all the same for me. I think i saw a FX Tire Shine for 500+ bucks at SNR last time i was there.
As for the Simple Green you could search their website for the different dilution ratio's but for your problem i would suggest you try a 1 part solution 4 part water concentration to try it on your wiper, as for cleaning the interior you could go up to 1:10 and its still quite strong. i personnally use 3 different kinds of dilutions, 1:4 for those tough stains, 1:10 for interior carpet and other high use areas, 1:15 for plastics and vinyl and other easier to clean items.

175 bucks only?? Wow..How big is the container of the Tire Cream? Grabe ang dami palang pwedeng bilhin sa BB at very affordable pa..
Which looks better po? As you said on your reply to mikoboi, Tire Cream from BB makes your tires look bnew, Armorall on the tires or the Tire Cream by BB? If only I had time, pumunta na talaga ako dun sa BB to check out the items that they sell..
Hmm, how do you measure po the dilution of the Simple Green? I hope that 1:4 will already remove the watermarks on the wiper arm and restore the trims to black again..
May nakatabi kasi akong newer vios sa parking, wala pa syang plaka, kinumpara ko yung wiper arm and trim, ang layo ng difference
Anyways thanks po muli

January 13th, 2010 01:11 AM #3219*chickselog: Just measure it using small measuring cups or small containers, what i do is i use a measuring cup and fill up 1 liter containers at home with the different dilution ratio's that i use which are the 3 i've mentioned, and then when one plastic liter container is finished i just move the spray bottle head to the next.
I asked some of my friends that are in the car scene and some if not most of them just have the wiper parts repainted and this time with a thick coat of clear coat, they say its not expensive and it looks really nice way better than having it re-dyed where if you have it re-dyed chances are it would become white again, but thats what they said
As for the tires question my votes would definitely go to the Tire Cream, its not that big actually but its enough to cover a lot and i mean a lot.
