bought these two earlier and ginamit ko na agad sa pagwa-wax..
the edgeless wax applicator is IMO better than the TW foam applicator that i've been using because you can actually hold it with a nice grip compared to the foams na nafa-flat sa kin :P Mahirap nga lang to cguro if paste version ng wax ang gamit... i use TW platinum na liquid and ok ciang pang apply.
plus nalalabhan ng maayos! ayos!
the orange cloth on the other is parang ung pink na version. used one to buff the wax out. the other for applying Armor-All Gel sa interior.
not bad for 250 na purchase.

January 9th, 2010 06:02 PM #3202*Jon: Have you had any experience in using LC's Blue, Red and Gold Pads? I'll try the orange LC pads with Power Polish next week once i get well, and im also planning on trying what they call "jeweling" but i haven't seen that much guides and articles about it, i got a Menzerna Nano polish and a Optimum Finish Polish, i was hoping you might know a tip or two when it comes to this

None yet. The softest Lake Country pad I have is a black/gray one. It rarely gets used because I do the waxing step by hand.
But... If you have the blue, red, or gold LC pads, they might be useful for your next project - jewelling the paint using your rotary. I have yet to try this technique because with a PC, it would take lots of time to do.
At any rate, I've found this guide made by Todd Helme of Proper Auto Care on the topic of jewelling with a rotary.
Proper Auto Care's Guide to Jewelling the Paint (rotary)
On the other hand, the following link relates to jewelling using a DA/RO.
Jewelling the paint (da/ro)
Hope this helps. Get well soon.

I see..Nagulat din ako sa presyo nitong mga to, better buy one now while it's still on its intro price, especially the Terry towel..

January 10th, 2010 04:14 AM #3206*mikoboi2009 and Chickselog: hehe no ma'ams pls, we all just trying to help
*mikoboi2009: Which Moms wax are you using? Hmmm i guess if you're comparing it to Moms Step 3, i would say its a slight notch lower than Step 3 in terms of durability and gloss, as compared to other Moms products, i think that would be unfair for #26 already since its Megs basic wax but for its price i would say that this is a bang for the buck and its well worth it, If you have a daily drive then i would recommend you use Megs 26, and maybe save the Moms Step 3 for the more cared for cars.
*chickselog: i can't say for now hehehe its a surprise but i guess it would be safe to say that its more of something that you would partner with their shampoo, its no longer on the applicator towel division.
As for Lambswool there are SM Arnolds Lambswool mitts at Concord for around 400 bucks i think? I got mine at Megs for 400 as well.
As for the Gritguard i might know someone thats sells some here locally but he's too overpriced thats why i just bought mine from AG, i think he's selling it at 2k for 2 pcs.
As for Lambsool VS MF Washmitt, i would rather go with Microtex MF Washmitt, I know Lambswool is way softer but i also find that using Microtex MF Washmitt also doesn't induce swirls and scratches and its also a lot tougher IMO, I've used the lambswool when i was undergoing my training in Megs and it doesn't seem to clean the paint very well, i would often scrub the lambswool hard against the paint just to test if it really doesn't scratch the paint and true enough it doesnt but when i rinse the paint and i dry it with chamois ( i know, i normaly use Waffle Weaves but its Megs SOP to use chamois so im stuck on using it ) i still get a lot of dirts and particles on the chamois so my conclusion was that the lambswool was not cleaning the paint enough, i then went home and tried the same thing but this time with my chenile washmitt and it cleans the paint better but it also doesn't induce scratches, i tried drying it with chamois and its a lot cleaner.
Ace sells their version of chenile washmitts for a lot cheaper, but if you're after durability and safety i would recommend you just get Microtex washmitt, that or any chenile washmitt that has lots of fingers and thats soft.

January 10th, 2010 04:18 AM #3207*jon: thanks so much for the links, i just took a look at your detailing blog and im surprised at your detail of the CRV, its like the paint itself was jeweled especially on the sun reflection shots those near the last part. Now my only problem would be to find a backing pad for the rotary that would fit my 6.5 inch blue red and gold pads since i bought them for DA and i just learned that you get better results with a rotary, thanks again

nakakaintriga naman yung bagong item ng Microtex hehehe..Partners with their shampoo, hmm wax kaya? hehehe..
Anyways, thanks for the inputs about the washmitts and gritguards, actually nagdalawang isip kasi ako kung yung MT(Microtex) MF washmitt ang bibilhin ko nung napanood ko yung video ni mike phillips na pinost dito sa detailing forum..Lambswool kasi ginamit niya sa video na yun.. Thanks again for the clarification

January 10th, 2010 11:23 PM #3210*mikoboi2009: QD's are used after LSP's to remove left over wax/sealants but QD's are not considered LSP's, QD's are used for quick touch ups only lets say you want to remove dusts and some very light contaminants in the paint. Now as for you question regarding Topcoat, if you're already using Step 3 then you don't have to use Topcoat anymore. Both Step 3 and Top Coat are considered LSP's. So its either you want a carnauba LSP Step 3, or you want a synthetic polymer LSP Top Coat, If its protection you're after then using just one of these would already do the job since layering both these two would not contribute that much to durability and protection based on my experience, but if you're after added gloss and added depth then putting on Top Coat over a coat of Step 3 would definitely give a slight boost to your cars appearance although it doesn't last that long.
