That's the whole point isn't it? It goes the same with why they chuck out all the emission control devices or the regular injection calibration.

At the end of the day it isn't a matter of what works but the excuses people have when faced with the truth. The whole aspect of jeepneys per se is about small scale operations. Very inefficient and prone to short term decision making and its follies.

Aluminum radiators replacing what you have for jeepneys will not work because of their practices in the way they manage their coolants. It is the same thing in Egypt and a few other middle-eastern countries where the level of knowhow is and availability of soft water suspect but never as presumptive as yours.

i agree on using coolants..

what i don't understand is the jeepneys only use pure water in their radiator, uses no rad cap and still working all day all night even if they are already 20 years old... now isn't a wonder....if water is that corrosive and will destroy your engine then why these old jeepneys still working?? how i wish the government start phasing out these rolling coffins...

hindi mo mababantayan lahat ng jeeps.... meh kapitbahay ako 6 jeep niya... every other month nag O-Overhaul siya as in kalas at baklas lahat engine internals..

maybe some of the causes are related to the cooling system, but we will never know... plus we cannot compare factory made vehicles against jeepneys dahil puro ubra-ubra lang sila...

if an owner has the budget and knowledge, tapos pinababayaan ang vehicle yun ang masklap...

everyday ang mga jeep nag aayos ng preno brake master/brake cylinder, top up ng engine oils, lagay lighter fluid sa intake and Etc....

Plus, remember the jeepneys radiator are over in capacity... most of them uses 3 rows or even 4 rows ata almost 4 inches thick yung radiator... which originally came from trucks... so matagal bago mabarahan...

pwede naman maging kamuka jeepneys ang mga private vehicles in terms of maintenance, it all depends sa owner pano siya mag maintain.

On my old carbureted vehicle, i dont use coolant. Tap water lang. The car never overheated hanggang sa ibinenta ko na. Kahit traffic i dont turn the engine off

The problem with contrarians like you is that even when things improve and problems are solved you will find it improbable that Filipinos are able to do it better.

Thing is you cant operate a fleet of 3000 vehicles on your ill-informed assumptions or "flowery" english. Knowledge matters and applying it.
