December 5th, 2018 05:17 PM #252When it comes to radiators, i seldom repair. I just replace the assembly. Taiwan replacement are cheap arnd 2.5-4k and they have 1 week warrantey.

i prefer all-metal radiator, over plastic.

December 6th, 2018 08:32 AM #257Not familiar with brands but i bet with the batman you could compare the best replacement taiwanese brand, try calling toyorama for the recommended replacement brands.
That red RTV i don't trust using in pressurized cooling system, they tend to leak if you don't get the uniform torque/ tightness of the crimp tabs. Same as with oil-pans, not unless the surface is perforated with canal designed for sitting the RTV gasket.

December 6th, 2018 11:20 AM #259agree with this. Plastic rads are somehow "throw-away" once its service life is reached. It is BEST to replace it rather than repair it. converting an aluminum rad with a plastic tank to a brass top tank will only have galvanic reaction and corrosion in just a matter of time and will give you problems. again. in the most unpleasant time...
but in retrospect, if you took care of your cooling system, your rads will last. have owned different cars over several years and noted that STILL, the BEST coolant is the OEM specific for each brand. and replace it as per manufacturer's recommendation. nothing else....

mali ko kasi, malinis naman since nag fake overheating problem ako eh pina overhaul ko agad.
ayun malinis pa nga since toyota long life coolant naman gamit ko dito
bali nagkaproblema lang simula nun pina linis. sana man lang bago tumira yun mga nag gagawa nito, nag test muna ano?
