Agree.. i have a multicab van with rear engine. Its radiator is placed in front.. radiator was repaired due to leak but did not perform as expected..

Replaced with a brand new one for 1.9k and voila.. the engine loves the new radiator..

if my radiator leaked a second time, shortly after it got fixed once, i would replace it already.
i prefer all-metal radiator, over plastic.
    lalang.. old folks thinking.
    heh heh.

    magkano ba bukang-bibig peerless ?

Not familiar with brands but i bet with the batman you could compare the best replacement taiwanese brand, try calling toyorama for the recommended replacement brands.

That red RTV i don't trust using in pressurized cooling system, they tend to leak if you don't get the uniform torque/ tightness of the crimp tabs. Same as with oil-pans, not unless the surface is perforated with canal designed for sitting the RTV gasket.

agree with this. Plastic rads are somehow "throw-away" once its service life is reached. It is BEST to replace it rather than repair it. converting an aluminum rad with a plastic tank to a brass top tank will only have galvanic reaction and corrosion in just a matter of time and will give you problems. again. in the most unpleasant time...
but in retrospect, if you took care of your cooling system, your rads will last. have owned different cars over several years and noted that STILL, the BEST coolant is the OEM specific for each brand. and replace it as per manufacturer's recommendation. nothing else....

mali ko kasi, malinis naman since nag fake overheating problem ako eh pina overhaul ko agad.
ayun malinis pa nga since toyota long life coolant naman gamit ko dito
bali nagkaproblema lang simula nun pina linis. sana man lang bago tumira yun mga nag gagawa nito, nag test muna ano?
