Radiator / Overheating Problem

The leak could be anywhere. Radiator, hoses, reservoir, water pump, or heaven forbid the engine block. The last time I had a cooling system problem, my mechanic sent me to Keyser in West Avenue QC. Wasn't cheap, but they looked at everything before they gave me a diagnosis and estimate, which was exactly the same as my mechanic's diagnosis.

Ask you mechanic to remove the thermostat. If it doesnt overheat anymore, go buy a new thermostat.

That is assuming your fan is working

Not all liquid cooling systems are the same. If the car has a three way thermostat, it will overheat even if it did not with a working thermostat removed. Read the description and system operation in the repair manual if you have one.

I doubt that the Avanza has a three-way valve.

Its an avanza. Dont think its cooling system is anywhere near fancy

Not familiar with the engine used in the avanza but do you have pictures of the thermostat?

o baka naman yung ibig sabihin na "3-way" e yung inlet, outlet at yung bypass....hihihi

napatanong ako bigla ke manong google e ang sagot ba naman e yung pang hvac....

What was the last thing performed to the engine that might involve the cooling system?
