Radiator Losing Water [Merged]

Sa akin naman bumababa yung level ng water sa radiator, after a few days of use, pero sa reserve tank hindi. Siguro ang naidadagdag ko na water is 1/2 glass to fill it up again. Tapos medyo may malapot na kulay kalawang sa may lip/opening ng radiator.

I had my radiator overhauled a month ago. Sa tingin ko nagkaroon ng leak sa radiator na hindi pa ganun kalaki as of now. Pero bakit po kaya hindi bumababa yung sa reserve to fill up the radiator?

meron din ako problem tubig ng radiator nababawasan nakita ko palagi napupuno ang reservoir ,nagawa ko na lahat palit ng gasket gn cylinder head, resurface ng cylinder head, palit ng takip ng radiator ,palinis ng radiator ,tumatapon pa din ang tubig sa reservoir di naman na tumatapon o bumubula ang tubig sa radiator pag umaandar sakit na ulo ko kung ano pa dahilan ng sasakyan ko baka meron dito may experience ng ganito patulong naman mga brod

Just an update i had my radiator overhauled at Jorge Radiator Shop sa banawe. This was recommended by Otep. Ok na sya. Ok na cooling system. Check nyo din drain plug baka madami na bungi mga paps. Sa akin kasi may tagas din dun.

mine had the same issue, and yesterday nag overheat yung car ko... buti na lang naagapan pa...

my radiator top already had a crack and the epoxy can't hold to it any longer... good thing at di pa ako nakakalayo sa area namin...

i don't know kung napamahal ako or kung tama yung decision ko... pinapalitan ko ng tanso yung radiator top... it cost me Php 2,200 (kasama na yung overhaul)... i researched here in the forum and found na yung iba ginawa din ito...

correct me if i'm wrong, the radiator top (denso yung brand) would cost around 7k to 8k? well... medyo tight budget as of this moment, so i had no other choice...

anyway, the car is doing fine as of the moment...

Mahal na pala, the last time we did that on a corolla 1995 the bill
was 800 pesos and hangang ngayon ok pa ang radiator. The car is
now with our neighbor 3 houses away. trouble free pa rin yon radiator
with tanso top. That was 12 years ago na.

kung wala overhaul mga 1,500 lang.. pero sayang naman kung di ko pa overhaul e binaba na rin naman yung radiator... pero may nagsabi sa akin na mahal daw pero di naman sinabi kung magkano aabutin kung dapat e mura... so until now clueless ako kung napamahal ako... pero ok naman yung kotse ko so ok na rin ako...

habol ko lang nung pag ka overhaul ng pregio due to overheating isa din pala nag cacause ng water losing ang water jacket goma pala ito pwede din pag tapunan ng tubig at di agad nakikita ,,kung di babaklasin ang engine,

i have another temperature problem... buti na lang sakto pag park ko sa bahay... nagkaron ng cut yung lower radiator hose... after palitan.. ok na.. but then, pagkagamit ko kanina napansin ko nawala yung lamig nung aircon... parang blower lang sya... possible kaya na natuyo ang freon?

Any idea how much is a surpluss rad for a civic AT 1999 model kasi sakin nag crack yung plastic top na tapos I had it replaced and repaired 3x kasi hindi nila makuha I am thinking that I should get a surpluss please give me your views on this

Hi mga boss, I noticed na yung reservoir tank cover ko ay palaging bumubukas after ng long trip. Is it a symptom na possible na may sira ang cooling system? Yng clip ng cover is still enough to hold it naman. I was thinking na baka sa excess pressure (?) kaya na-aalis. Thanks and more power.

Wala naman problema kung bumubukas ang reservoir tank cover mo ang mahalaga kung nauubos agad tubig nito may problkema cooling system mo .Check mo kung may leak sa hose , radiator cap.

hi ...may share and tanong na rin ako.

my ride is crosswind. its like this dati kung magbawas ng tubig sa coolant siguro around 250 ml in a month or minsan 2 months pa.

tapos just last month i have my radiator overhauled. kasi nakita ko may rust.

now yung bawas sa coolant mas marami na. i mean 250 ml in just two weeks, pina check ko wla naman leak.

Are you using a proper coolant or water from your faucet?

This is kinda out of topic. Anybody know what is the best radiator flush? I've tried using Preston and Qaucker City radiator flush, parang walang nangyayari may kalawang pa rin radiator ko. Many say Glyco radiator flush is better. Does anybody know where i can get this? TIA

Hi guys, kind a new to car problems i hope you can help me. While driving kagabi along aguinaldo hiway cavite in front of makro my temp suddenly reached 3/4 of the gauge. Buti na lang nasa tapat ako ng petron so i managed to park it in there. I checked the radiator and it's almost empty even the reservoir so i just filled it up then i managed to get home and my temp is okay (about 5 kms.) I used the car the following morning and rode about 5 kms also and no uprise on the temp. Then another 2 kms and the problem persist. Just filled it up again and then rode to MOA back and forth (about 20 kms) Surprisingly, the radiator is still filled same with the reservoir. Checked the fan and it's turning on/off automatically. Read here to rev the car and check kung sisirit, did it hindi naman sumirit pero parang bumulwak ng konti. San kaya problema ng car ko? By the way it's an old civic 94' lxi. Kasi kung faulty why did i managed to rode 20 kms without any fluctuation sa temp? My theory is baka nung nagsalin ako ng tubig hindi ko napuno kaya parang may trapped air sa system? Sorry for the long post i just want you to see the complete picture. Thanks in advance guys.

assuming your radiator, blower, fans etc , are all ok maybe a leak somewhere , got to have the patience and luck to find it.


maybe a leak on your heater core..

water pump tingnan mo, kadalasan sa water pump yan, tingnan mo kilan ang huling palit ng water pump(ito ang pangalan nya?).
