ano ba nangyayari sating naka ESI... parang parepareho ata tayo problem
It's age. Simply that. The ESi is over ten years old already, so you should expect these kinds of things to happen.
Change everything, the radiator, the hoses, the clamps, the water-pump, the thermostat, and the heater hoses or plugs (don't forget those! My cousin's LXi overheated once because the plug to the heater core came loose!) and the car should be good for another three to five years.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
older cars = more maintenance... have it checked well so you know where the problem is comming from
sir speedy, try ko po pacheck iyung problem ko sa radiator ko. napalinis ko na rin siya may latak nga ng oil, sabi nung naglinis dapat daw naoverheat na ko.
pero di pa naman ko naoverheat kahit kailan. still experience losing water in the reservoir probably around 2 glasses of water every two days.
Honda 95 -99 models as per experience in my shop from late last year upto now we have overhauled and changed their radiators more than any other car make of the same year model.
Surplus ones are not as reliable as getting a replacement because you might get a lemon which could only last you for a couple of months.
Replacements cost around 2500 to 3500
Overhauling top and bottom (full overhaul) cost 1600
Top overhaul 800 pesos.
Make sure when you have it overhauled that you let your mechanic observe it for a couple of hours, because sometimes there are faulty overhauls when they did not clean properly the plates and the sediments is still there and still circulates in your car.
just get a evercool radiator and you won't have problems for another couple of years.
sir Speedy question lang,
i had replace again my cylinder headgasket plus cylinder head reface and crack test ok naman. but still i'm losing water sa reservoir ko. if i drive 50Kms. ubos na agad iyung water sa reservoir anu pa kaya nag problem?
very hard to say without seeing the car.
either the refacing was not done properly (it happens with incompetent machine shops) or the head was not torqued properly (it happenes with incompetent mechanics) or the problem was misdiagnosed from the start which is the worst because if that is the case then you spent money to fix something that was not broken in the first place.
Looks like air trapped into the system. Bleed it until you are sure that there are no air pockets.
For your peace of mind so that you could eliminate the possibility of a leak, have your cooling system pressure tested from a reputable shop. This will eliminate the doubts that you have a system leak.
sir speedy is there a possibility that i have a cracked blocked?
sana hindi naman noh???
it takes a lot to crack a honda block. either you were overheating for a very very long time or there is some other damage. it might be more plausible na installer error pa than a cracked stock block.
water pumps leak or get noisy when sira na sila.
sir speedy nissan sentra na po sasakyan ko. lahat ng block di naman basta basta magkakacrack di ba po?
ako rin ESi owner.. then just last night, i noticed my temp gauge rise to 3/4 of the meter. i was driving at daang hari in cavite, and im sure none of us would bbe open to being stranded in that dark road. still, i checked the radiator out coz this was the first time this ever happned since i bought the car 6 months ago. after letting the cap cool down a bit and taking it off, i noticed na sobrang dami ng nawalang coolant+distilled water mixture.. parang half nga yata eh. so i filled it up with pure distilled water. pero yung reservoir puno pa rin.. what could possible be wrong here? then after driving about 30km, bawas nanaman ng water yung radiator.. i dont see any leaks below, expcept yung para yata sa aircon. (yung small hose sa baba.. by mere looking at it, i think it was designed to drip excess water tlga kse pointing downward eh..correct me if im wrong though) btw, the radiator has already been overhauled, rad cap and water pump has been replaced 6 months ago. OEM part and GMB respectively) ano po kaya remedy dito?
