3+ years na ata di gumagana yung aircon, inayos nalang yung magnetic clutch thing (kasi di aligned) and then clean AC system (di nadin binaba dashboard), change compressor oil and drier, refill freon. Mga 3K ginastos.

That's a good deal kasi pag sa mga MB shops pinagawa mga 2K na pagbaba palang ng dash, tapos malamang sasabihin palit na dapat clutch or compressor.

theveed, yung friend ko that i had recommended danny to also had a european car. ganun din sabi nitong friend ko. ordinarily, binabaklas daw yung dashboard to get at the compressor. nung ginawa ni danny, ni hindi daw binaklas. "dinukot yung compressor" were the words he used. tuwang-tuwa siya kasi home service na, mura pa lumabas.

Pero the fact that Jayelgee caught him reading a book on refrigeration is an indication that this guy is a learner and malayo mararating nyan.

his landline is 747-0195. i mentioned mang mario to him when i went to his shop the last time. hindi niya kilala, so malamang hindi siya protege ni mang mario. at least, merong mang mario sa bandang north at danny sa bandang gitna...kailangan na lang sa bandang south.

Will be visiting Danny this Sunday.

    TODO:
    1. Thermostat - convert na lang daw to rotary type.
    2. Compressor - change shaft seals. Convert to R-134a if di pa converted for less hassle at the LTO next year.
    3. Evaporator - replace foam to seal from outside smoke and smells.
    4. General cleaning.

Called him up kanina. Very mild-mannered person and very easy to talk to. He gave a very reasonable estimate. Will post feedback ASAP.

Uh may pagkaroad spill ata? :D

Magkano ba cleaning kay Mang Mario? I had mine cleaned at Daknee and the charge is P900. This is standard right? Most shops that I know charges around it. Baka mas mura kay Mang Mario.

Maliit lang po yung shop nya, as in MALIIT pero he is competent, sagot nya lahat ng tanong ko and makikita mo na alam ang ginagawa.

i just talked with danny. his other landline is 6332283, the other one is sira. conversion or retrofitting from r12 to r134 will cost 5t up depending on the type of car . according to him by next year he will be transferring to a bigger talyer with a new name. he will keep us posted.
mababa talaga ang presyo ni danny. nag paquote ako ng change compressor for my hi ace . his price is almost half the price of others. we really have to support this kind of guy. magalang pang kausap

seminarista: ako din kailangan ko magpalit ng "amplifier" para sa aircon ng corolla ko. sabi ni danny, he can convert it to the rotary type thermostat kung gusto ko. pero hindi na magagamit yung original thermostat sa car so medyo pangit, especially kung ibebenta mo pa car mo later. hirap lang humanap nung hayupak na amplifier na yan. lahat ng toyota dealers walang part. sa planta, wala rin daw. kailangan daw i-order sa japan. does anyone know kung merong ibang mabibilhan nitong part na ito sa metro manila?

Try mo sa surplus shops as usual.

thermostat isn't really a complex circuitry don't worry about it.

ang issue ko lang is that if you get a surplus and nagkataon na baligtad ang orientation nya, you might have to do some tweaking like flipping the switch upside down or something para tama ang itsura...

but if you're lucky enough na parehas lang orientation ng switch edi mas ok.

it's not like it'll screw up the ac system physically kung sira ang thermoswitch.
