    Dont like alberto aircon service. Di nila maayos yung aircon ng chevy sparks ko dati. Kaya ko binenta nalang. They changed the compressor and coils. Pero pag tanghali ang init sa loob ng car. Nag several back iob ako but di nila mahuli yung sira ng aircon. Sayang di ko pa nakilala si mang danny.

    Si danny nan dyan pa sa sea oil. Sobrang sulit and maraming alas sa sleves. Yung innova namen. Pina check ko sa casa and 4 na aircon specialist around pasig. Lahat sila palit compressor.
    Nabasa ko si mang danny dito sa forum. Pinuntahan ko. Sabi niya try muna naten repair. Ayun ayus na ayus hanggang ngayon malamig paren aircon namen. Damage 500. Ayaw pa nya tanggapin ang laki daw.

    Big thanks to Jayelgee for sharing. I just recently benefited on this.

    Aircon got busted a few dats ago and was quoted by Cool Attack Aircon in Pasig as 3.5k almost immediately without proper diagnostic. Magbabayad kana walang kwentang servicr pa.

    Lo and behold, Mang Danknee to the rescue. Kulang lang freon. Was asked for 600 only all in. I gave 1k. Bonus pa sa kwento at added service. Kodus to you Kuya!

    The shop is located on West Capitol Drive in Barrio Kapitolyo, Pasig. Maliit lang yung shop but don't let that fool you. It is owned and managed by Danny (0921-594-4645) who is a simple down-to-earth type but very knowledgeable about car aircons. I've had him repair my cars' aircons and I came away happy each time. I've also referred him to friends who found his work excellent and who now return to him for their car aircon problems.

    He also does home service. Once, I referred him to a friend who owns a european car, the aircon of which ordinarily requires the dashboard to be dismantled in order to reach the aircon. My friend contacted Danny, who went to his condo and did what needed to be done and without dismantling the dashboard. Needless to say, my friend was very happy with the work as well as the fee charged him.

    I am doing this to help Danny na rin who is a good guy (hindi manloloko at nangtataga sa singil) and who does good work. We need more guys like him around. Sana, for those of you who will try him, you will also be as happy with his work as I have been. You may tell him that Joey referred you to him if you do decide to try him. Hope this helps, especially the ones that live close to Kapitolyo.

    After thorough evaluation, Mang Danny replaced the magnetic clutch (?) of the compressor. Ang hirap lang talaga ng pagtanggal since the compressor of the van was under the alternator.

    I had to buy a new nagnetic clutch assembly for 2500 since wala available na magnetic clutch lang. Paid Mang Danny 2k for labor and freon plus lunch amd some tip.

    The aircon is working fine now. Hopefully, it will be okay for good.

    This is the part that was replaced:

    last time i had problem with my magnetic clutch, all the repairman had to do, was to remove one washer. sabi niya, kapag wala nang washer na matatanggal, is the time i have to replace the assembly.
    but i do not know if we had the same basic problem.

    Share ko lang po another credit to Mang Danny last saturday December 9. Dinala ko sa kanya yung Nissan Sentra FE I came from Calamba di daw muna sya tumanggap ng customer at inantay talaga ako malayo pa daw kasi ang pinanggalingan ko. Anyway last august po kasi ay biglang umingay yung parang nagkiskisan yung bakal akala ko doon sa engine nanggaling when I let to check by the nearby maechanic he told it was compressor he removed the belt para mawala yung ingay kc kahit naka off ang AC maingay pa din. Maraming AC shop akong pinuntahan pero medyo pricey ang quotations nila.

    Pagdating doon kay Mang Danny binaba nya muna yung compressor then check sabi nya di na pwede palitan clutch lang palit talaga compressor option surplus may contact sya about compressor at deliver sa amin price 5k maybe not bad. Nagpalit na din kami ng filter dryer at expansion valve we bought it in nearby AC shop and the good thing is may kinausap syang kasamahan nyang taxi driver na samahan ako bumili ng parts at kung ano yung nasa metro ng taxi nya yun lang talaga pinabayaran nya back and fort yun hindi nya tinanggap yung tip ko at ang sabi ng taxi driver yung kaibigan ni Mang Danny ay kaibigan din nya.

    Binaba din nya yung Codenser at Evaporator pati mga pipings flushing lahat naka ubos kami ng halos 5 liters of ethanol doon sya nagtaggal sa flushing condenser kasi maitim at madaming residue na lumabas. After re installation ng mga pipings may leakage yung connection ng dryer kaya maraming nasayang na freon 2x syang inulit. So far so good mas malamig sya kay sa dati. May advice sya na pag napansin ko daw na hindi nag trip yung thermostat ako na lang magpalit tinuruan nya akong kung papaano. So far inabot sya ng halos 4 hours na ginawa.

    Breakdown of the expenses:

    5,000 = Calsonic Compressor (surplus)
    300 = Filter/Dryer
    750 = Expansion Valve
    100 = Compressor Oil
    200 = Ethanol gas (used for flushing piping 4 liters)
    120 = Taxi fare (purchasing spare parts)
    500 = Freon
    900 = Mang Danny's Labor
    ______________________
    7,870 = total

    Note: Excluding po yung tip na binigay ko kahit maliit kc matagal nyang ginawa at pinakain sa Ministop na katabi ng Sea oil.

    Sa gustong makatipid try nyo po si Mang Danny dito ko lang sya nakita sa thread ng forum na ito totoong honest sya.Kahit nasa malayo kayo panalo pa rin kayo sa baba ng singil nya.

    Kay mang danny lahat ng aircon na pagawa ko. Last august, nadiagnoae nya na sira ang magnetic clutch ng tucson ko and replaced a few parts. Parang bnew ulit AC ko. Very honest sya. Baka palitan din daw ang AC pulley if makitang sira, pero pagtanggal nya ok pa raw so no need to change.

    My personal experience with the AC Legend, Kuya Danny.

    I've been a Mang Mario fan, as well as a Cee-jay's patron in the past. Have used casa previously also. When I recently needed an evaporator replacement for my 2008 Ssangyong Actyon A230, I decided to see and check out if Kuya Danny's legendary status is well deserved.

    Read below and see for yourself.

    My unit had to be constantly replenished with freon. Checks on the engine bay by neighborhood car AC shops yielded no leaks on the lines and the compressor, and most were unanimous in pointing the evaporator as the likely culprit. Thing is, to reach the evaporator, the dreaded dashboard removal had to be done. And they wanted no part of it. Most were unfamiliar with the brand and the procedure for my unit. I was left with the possibility of bringing it to casa. Good thing, google magic led me to the living legend.

    One fine Sunday morning (1st of July), I texted him using the number posted here. It's still his current number (0912 964 6034). A few minutes later, he responded and told me to bring it to SeaOil saying, 'parehas lang naman AC system ng lahat ng sasakyan." Still, a few more minutes later, he called (twas past 7AM) and told me he could be in the gas station in 30 minutes. As it was relatively close to me (I was at Mandaluyong), I took the bait and drove to meet with the 63 year-old AC service technician.

    The SeaOil station where he works is easy to locate. If you use Waze, you'll be there in no time at all. For the rest, it's close to the Capitol 8 Subdivision entrance (the one with the Petron station at the gate). SeaOil is on the other side (near the Kawilihan Village entrance), which is just past the high rise condo development in the area. BPI and Security Bank are exactly across. Importantly, the famous and tasty Farinas Empanada is found in the station. You can stay there or at the nearby Mini Stop while the repairs are being done. I chose to assist Kuya Danny whenever possible as his nephew wasn't there to lend a hand.

    I arrived at 730 am. And the simple-looking and soft-spoken master tech went straight to business. Here we see him working right away on my ride:

    Roughly after 2 hours:

    After a few more minutes of tinkering, he was finally able to remove the evaporator housing.

    And presto, here lies the culprit (ang salarin!):

    At this point, he told me that it looked similar to a Hyundai evaporator. He asked for 5k cash and told me that he needed to buy a new one. There was nothing he could do for the old one. Closer inspection revealed oil all over one side of the evaporator.

    He came back after 2 hours or so - it was a Sunday and my brand did not have the widely available inventories of the Japanese car brands. He said he got the replacement with almost the same dimensions for my Actyon. It was for a Lancer, with an Eagle Brand and cost P4,5k. He made some minor modifications and began doing his thing. I asked him if he wanted to eat lunch with me. He told me that he already ate while purchasing the evaporator. I ended up ordering the Ultimate Empanada and Poqui poqui (busog na busog ako) at Farinas. Kuya Danny began reassembling while I ate.

    After an hour, this is what I saw:

    Reinstallation was faster. He loaded the AC system with freon, tested it with his trusty pressure tool, and in a few moments, cold, refreshing air bathed my face which was drenched in sweat by the early afternoon sun. Charap ng aircon!

    It was definitely a successful endeavor.

    Breakdown of cost:

    Evaporator and O rings: 4,5k
    Labor: 2,5k
    Freon: 500
    Not bad at all.

    Other miscellaneous expenses included buying him a drink (his choice: Blue), having lunch at Farinas, additional merienda at Ministop and a quick stop at a Lotto outlet nearby.

    At almost 3pm, I went home truly satisfied with the work of the legendary Kuya Danny.

    Sulit. Pulido gumawa. Magaan sa bulsa. And he truly knows his AC.
    Well deserved po ang reputation niya.

    I highly recommend Kuya Danny and I can say for certain that I'll be back when it comes to future car AC concerns.

    Apparently, he has an informal tie-up with the gas station. He uses the station's tools and equipment while working on the units of his patrons. For back jobs, you can bring your ride back there.
