June 24th, 2013 10:17 AM #1I went to Mang Danny at Seaoil based on the recommendations on this board and they are spot on -- Mang Danny is the best! My aircon was shutting off when hot and two shops said either busted na magnetic coil or compressor needs replacement (11K-20K estimates). Mang Danny diagnosed it as normal wear and tear on the pulley. He took off the pulley face from the compressor (while on the car so hindi nasayang freon) and removed a paper thin washer. With the new tighter tolerances, wala nang problema sa aircon! Mukhang sanay magbaklas ng compressor si Mang Danny. Very knowledgeable and maayos kausap -- he explains things to you very clearly. He even repaired my noisy fan by replacing the motor with a very clean surplus unit he had on-hand (insides looked brand new). All in all, less than 1K singil sa akin. Nag follow up pa one week after asking if everything was fixed. Highly recommended!

September 2nd, 2005 09:29 PM #5bilib ako sa mga tsikoteros dito...i just dropped by Danny's shop this afternoon to have him diagnose what's wrong with the air conditioning unit of my Starex...he told me that several people called/talked to him saying they were referred by me...there was one daw who kept asking a lot of questions but there was nothing wrong with his car aircon naman daw...very knowledgeable daw..."may alam" were his words...ikaw ba yun, DENCH? If so, would be interested to know what was your impression of Danny's knowledge of car aircons. Thanks.

September 3rd, 2005 09:42 PM #8buknoy2002, landline ni Danny : 7470195. Sa bahay nya yan. Have no idea how much to convert from R12 to R134. Maybe you can talk to him.
artpogi, yes katabi ng Albertos shop niya. i told him he should find a shop with more space for cars. pero mahirap lang siya and can't afford at the moment. so, spillover sa kalye yung mga ginagawa niya.

just reviving this old thread.
I'll be honest guys ha. i have been going to Mang Mario for the aircon of my car and my wife's Lancer Pizza Pie. My car alang problema. My wife's car ubos ang freon after about three months. parang di kaya patinuin.
so i decided to bring it to Danknee to get a separate opinion.
i tracked down DANKNEE the other day. he is now in the East Capitol Drive. 42 ata ang number. he forgot to list down his cellphone.
i told danknee that the evaporator has been taken down a couple of times na so we could eliminate the problem from there. he found a leak in the compressor and decided to take it down to have a look.
true enough, some aurings and bearings needed to be replaced. i was glad the compressor was repairable, otherwise palit na yun at laking gastos.
matagal din ang trabaho. took almost five hours. pero ok lang sa akin yun basta maingat at thorough ang trabaho. and i must say danknee and is men are very careful and thorough. di nagmamadali. he wanted to take down the evaporator pa pero sabi ko wag na rin bec it was getting late. ganun daw sila, silip lahat ng parts para sure na alang sira.
total damage: 3.5K.
so lets see if the problem has really been solved.
