What's the best car tint brand and color?

there's always a tradeoff between visibility from inside (driving concern) and from outside (security/privacy concern)..

yung 3M Medium Black, ok visibility from inside, i.e. you won't have difficulty driving and parking
kaso kita passengers from the outside

so i can't have my cake and eat it too, huh?

Suggest ko go with Platinum. FX is the lowest variant of 3M if I'm not mistaken. Had that in my car and the super dark is really dark to the point I have trouble seeing my side mirrors at night. Note no windshield tint. It bubbled after four years. Free from casa so ok na. Replaced it with Platinum, med on windshield and dark for windows. Better visibility at night, better heat rejection and still dark so passengers are not visible from the outside.

Another thing I dont like with 3M is there are a lot of fakes out there.

yes, FX is the least in 3M's line of tints. i checked out some cars at the dealer with platinum tint installed. parang kita sa loob. or maybe the platinum tint at my dealer is different from yours. would you know what kind of platinum tint you have, besides the shade?

a possible option is to get the free platinum medium (not sure about quality of the fx), and add a layer of 3M black chrome (35? lightest one).. the effect would be less visibility from the outside, added heat rejection (black chrome is a bit reflective) and still good visibility from the inside

before you do this though, i suggest you see how the free platinum medium goes for a couple of months or so.. we all differ in our eyesight quality

Had my car tinted at LACars using Llumar 'cause I find Vkool and Nanotech too expensive (3M being the cheapest)...It comes with a 5-year warranty on peeling, bubbling, hazing, crazing. It significantly helped reduce heat from the outside aside from privacy concerns. No complaints for me...HTH

What's the best tint you can suggest for a Quartz Brown - SUV? We want to avail Casa's Free Tint Black chrome
(BC 20 side/rear, BC 10 front). Im at sea if this series would fit to the color of the unit and visibilibity + security is one thing to consider. TIA!

All 3M tints have the 3M mark, whether it be the black or magic series. Kahit yung peke, may 3M marking.

I have platinum installed in my Hiace Commuter. Full front, back, driver's side and front passenger side. 3500 all in all in ADC.
If i'm not mistaken it is in level with BC40 of 3M. Mine is dark silver magic. Rejects heat a lot but still works like a one way mirror.
