Just had our old fx(family use) tinted at Solargard Alabang. HP Quantum 28(ws), Quantum 19 for front side and rear window while DLD10 for the rest. 6.5k total for all 6 side windows +ws and rear. Ganda perfromance ng 28 sa ws maski tirik na araw, can barely feel the suns heat thru the ws. Ok pa din clarity ng 19 sa front sides even at night. Will post pixs soon.

I also had mine tinted at santolan branch almost seven years ago. It had that 100% SPUTTRED QUANTUM". The Solargard tints on the other tints did not have the markings.

*calix0305: not sure kung ano ang standard markings. mine was installed in Santolan branch din. i was only able to took photos a few days ago dahil long vacation. sa windshield at left side window, 100% SPUTTERED QUANTUM ang marking na nakita ko, while on the right side window, SOLAR GARD MADE IN USA naman ang marking.

mga sir, i've read this thread and it seems na mas marami ang nagpapakabit ng quantum kesa sa charcoal, pero sa website nila mas mataas ng konti ang TSER ng charcoal. may mga advantage ba ang quantum over charcoal? pinagpipilian ko kasi itong 2. thanks sa mga inputes.

mas less kasi visibility sa quantum dahil sa reflection, more privacy at the same time better outside visibility kasi walang reflection viewing from inside.

*KaizenSy: first choice namin ang HP Charcoal series pero not available ang HP Charcoal 37 sa Santolan branch during installation. we went with HP Quantum 37 instead. the small TSER difference between these two series is negligible in the long run.

What Solargard tint would you recommend for the Grand Starex's front windshield?

Currently I have Titanium dark magic (magic 20 supposedly). After about 2 years, I noticed that I could be seen inside even on a cloudy/sunny day, which should reflect the outside surroundings. This, in addition to all my other windows wrapped in Super dark + dark smoke tint (yes, 2 layers).

I'm happy with how dark the windows are as they give me the black out effect to contrast the dark silver colored van's large windows. Heat rejection, well that may be another story, but then I'm ok with that for now. Not planning to change the tint for the GS's windows.

For the windshield, I'm more particular about 1) not being seen and the 2) heat rejection. Since I assume the tint faded, I would think the heat rejection is no longer as good. Tint shade is number 4. So magic/metallic would be ok. Dyed, ok lang din. Harap lang naman. Number 3 would be how dark. My max would be the magic 20 as I've been using it and have not complained about it. Minimum would be magic neutral (35) so I don't get glare.

    Thanks!

*IMm29: pick among the HP series, i.e. HP Quantum (Metallic), HP Supreme (Dyed), HP Charcoal (Hybrid) and HP Titanium (Hybrid). it would be best to drop by a Solar Gard branch and personally demo the tint samples on your vehicle's windshield.

Installed the LX 40 on my windshield. This is supposed to be the closest thing Solar Gard Santolan has to V-Kool. I feel the 2 are comparable with regards to heat blocking, but the V-Kool tint is still superior when it comes to glare. I can stare at the 3PM sun for a few seconds with my old V-Kool M30 tint. Can't do it without squinting hard on the LX 40. Night visibility for the LX 40 is great, as expected.
