not sure if mandated na sa LAW yung DPF. yep, worrisome nga yung Euro 5 status nya but our fuels are still Euro 4. Pero with regards to DPF's function, it doesn't need replacing naman as long as you do highway driving of cumulative 60 minutes every fortnight. read it here.
sa pricing naman:
- Comfortline > 1,100,000
- Highline > 1,200,000
- Business Edition > 1,250,000
- Business Edition+ > 1,300,000
so bali 100,000 din difference ng BE+ sa Highline.
Sa mga may unit na, magkano po ba LTO registration nyo quoted kasi sa akin at 13,500 kasi.
Due to its gross vehicle weight, the Jetta is classified as medium under LTO MVUC guidelines. Under such guidelines, cars with gross vehicle weight of over 1600kg is classified under medium. Thus, the 3-year registration cost of around 13500. Our Jetta 1.6L TDI DSG is also tagged under medium.
For comparison, most of the compact cars nowadays are classified under medium. These includes the Altis, Focus, Sylphy 1.8L, and Elantra. These means you pay similar registration costs as the usual midsize cars - Accord, Camry, Mazda6, Legacy, Sonata, Altima. I think only the Mazda3 and Civic are the only ones below the 1600kg gross vehicle weight.
actually I am in the market for a black car talaga, I was intending to get a black Hyundai Accent CRDI Sedan kaso sobrang bare talaga eh or a Jazz RS modern steel metallic. Okay lang naman din yung blue silk, light lang pagka-blue nya but I guess okay na din kasi tropical country tayo so meron na rin heat reflection na benefit.![]()
Would you be willing to swap your silk blue BE if we ever get the black BE+, if that's even possible? hehe
Yeah don't get the accent unless you plan to use it for transport business. I have one and I enjoy driving it as the engine got power (plus it's a manual) and is cheap in the pump, but is let down by its absolute lack of features including safety, and the effin' distributor would milk you through high cost of PMS.
Finally received my Jetta BE+. Tanong ko lang kung 2015 din ba mga stickers nung BE+ ninyo including the EA288 engine? And Jetta SEL TDI pala ang Jetta BE+, nakabakat pa kasi yung SEL emblem. May mark din sya ng rear spoiler na removed in the Philippine trim. Clearly mukhang ito yung unsold units in the US and rebadged na lang dito kaya siguro nawala na ang BE+ sa lineup nila kasi napa-ubos na nila.

Just got a Jetta 2.0 TDI Highline, no marks of previous emblems/trims.
Enter your VIN here: VIN Decoder ~ Check VIN Number & Get Vehicle Report!. You might find some clue.
Mine is 2016 model but declared in the Philippines as 2017.
Thank you. I tried the link you shared and my unit was marketed for 2016.
Though the parts are clearly built 2015 based on stickers inside the engine bay and even from the vehicle's mat.
Also I checked on VW Recalls | Service Campaigns | Volkswagen and entered my VIN there and it did return "2016 JETTA TDI SEL PREM. AUTO" so I guess it is what it is. Luckily it is not up for recall just need to warranty some things in it after observing it for a week.
MYxxxx in the Philippines is defined differently. It's the year sold. The year of manufacture is a different story, as you found out from your VIN.
