I have my jetta for almost a month. So far so good. The suspension is superb to any Japanese sedans. Interior is simple, roomy and comfortable. Anyone who hitched a ride always praise the ride quality. The diesel engine is muted from the inside. Seats are quite comfortable even if it is very hot outside. Fuel consumption is a bonus. You'll rarely go under 10 km/ L

You got it during the 1.09m sale promo? Lucky you. Very good diesel. Much more economical than the Cruze VCDi or the old Focus TDCi. Also, great to drive.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Now yan ang potential problem compared to more mainstream brands... Could also be the reason why VW has not flown yet so to speak.

Before buying it, I already ask the manager regarding regualar maintenance cost. Fully synthetic yung gamit nila. change oil every 15,000kms or 1 year. Nasa 6 to 8 thousand up to 100,000 kms. For me, reasonable na yan. My mitsubishi strada, pajero, dmax, montero PMS cost are more expensive when using fully synthetic. Every 10,000kms pa yan. Sa toyota naman, I use mineral oil exclusively kahit yung mga d4d units. Sa ford naman, my friend's ranger will cost him 10th every PMS.

PMS may cost more than a toyota but there is a different level of refinement when you personally driven the vw jettas. The smooth car body and suspension are really well built. My brother in law knock on the door and body. He shook his head. Makapal talaga ang body ng jetta vs his altis. Wood panel on his dash looks good but easily gets out of fashion.

Have you done any modifications on it? Please post lots of pic regardless. its still so rare ive yet to see one on the street. I saw one in the last pims or was it mias (?) with an upgraded rims and it looked upper class. My dad said the precision and alignment of the doors was outstanding though i didn't get what he meant by it.

Bro, this is not commercially available (which makes it "rare")? Compared to the other cars in its class, I would say that this is really a steal at 850K. I know VW is one of the top companies in diesel technology. Swerte mo Ayala employee ka . Any chance you might know someone who would like to sell his/her unit?

How can it be a good band when anywhere around the world they're now known as cheats or falsifier. For me, that alone is enough reason not to invest coz used buyers will always bring that up to you in the guise of they just want a discount

To clarify, it was the 2.0 diesel engine which showed the emission anomaly upon testing, back in 2015 in the US. This was based on US emission standards, which is one of the highest in the world (compared to Philippine standards i.e. looking at the jeepneys, buses and cargo trucks which ply our streets and pass the emission tests every year during vehicle registration renewal ). Even other car companies' emission results were put into question. Anyway, as a consequence, heads rolled, VW's top German honcho, Mr. Martin Winterkorn and the head of US operations, Mr. Horn resigned. VW started rectifying the issue and have come up with both hardware and software modifications to address this. Happy to say that the 2016 models are no longer included on the watchlist. That being said, definitely this is a steal and I'll still pop P850K for it any day of the year.

Toyota/Lexus tried to hide their SUA/ sticky pedal in the US. Mitsubishi had an emission test scandal this year.
So you think the whole galaxy thinks they're cheats too?
FYI, VW is highly regarded in the world inspite of the scandal. No. 22 company in Forbes list.

Sensitive kasi noypi pag pagtitipiran ang usapan. Since tainted na vw sa pag falsify ng fuel efficiency iba na yun. Di yan tulad nun sa toyota

Anyway, you can always enjoy your cars naman. Andyan na yan eh parang peugeot. So pag nakakakita kami ng volks sa kalsada, syempre iisipin namin tiga Ayala kayo yun lang

Comaony nyo na nag-pasok dito tapos kayo na din bumili ng products nyo. Tangkilikin sariling atin

Only the emission results were altered by VW. The software was wise enough to know that the car was being tested thus altering emission figures to adapt to US diesel standards. There was no mention of fuel efficiency falsification. As if such emission figures matter in the Philippines.

It was Mitsubishi and Hyundai/Kia who were fined for broadcasting erroneous fuel efficiency/consumption figures.

Excuse me, Bro. I am not from Ayala or am I an employee of any of their affiliates. I'm just a plain and simple Tsikoteer who, like you, is just sharing what I know because I believe that fora like this should serve the public by informing them of what the real score is so that at the end of the day, We, the consumers would make the better, if not, the best choice based on facts.
