brand new cars should be perfect, upon delivery.
    but we are all human.
i guess that is what warranty is for.

my owner's manual says that the brakes should bite with two to three clicks.

    good luck, po.

Its cable slack because the parking brake is not engaged. normal lang yan sir na gumagalaw ng kunti ang hand brake lever mo kasi walang tension ang cable. parang naka hinged lang yung hand brake lever mo sa base or holder nya kaya meron talagang free movement yan. anyway, casa technician can correct the problem kung magpaservice ka.

Suzuki Celerio 2020 CVT. I’m not sure kung tama ba pagkakaintindi ko. Haha pero kasi base sa nabasa ko, ganun yung sabi sa owners manual. Not sure kung required ba or not kaya gusto ko din sana iclarify dito. Hehe

Kaya pala. Yung nandyan sa owner's manual is an auto gear shift

Yung sa atin kasi is a regular torque converter CVT.

Always start the car in P, that's a safeguard in case you forgot to set the parking brake.

Ah okay, so safe to say na i-start ang engine when in P? Mula kasi nung nakuha ko to, nilalagay ko sa N muna bago ko magstart. Hindi ba masisira yun?

It's a default when starting automatic transmissions. No need for the extra effort to engage to N when you are about to start your car unless you still drive a manual tranny.

If okay lang na i-start ang engine sa P, then what’s the use of N? Pag traffic lang, or matagal kang magstop?

I usually put it on N sa stop and go traffic that would last at least 60secs.

Pero sa pag start ng engine, usually sa park this is to guard your car not to move forward or backward kung hindi pantay ang parking and hindi ka naka handbrake...

Also, wala sa manual na sinabi put it on N then step on the brake and start your engine... goodluck sir!

Use P when going to park. Use N on all others. Especially when there is a risk of collision. U don't want to transmission to be stuck in P when u get bumped. Transmission damage yan, sureball.

so if you're CVT ride is parked at nabangga ka sa kasamaang palad (causing the vehicle to lurch forward or backward) or na-hatak ng mga beloved MMDA enforcers, sira na tranny mo?

thank you for all the enlightenment fellow tsikoteers,

follow up question regarding our cvt's:
how long do we expect our cvt's for fxt and wrx last long, given that we cared for it as what the manual says, stock, driven on an average of 800 km - 1000 km/ month,
do we have local reports of cvt failures ( on stock units) already?

No doomsayer, however, nothing is certain but CVT death & taxes.[emoji13]
You can only extend its life w/ religious periodic maintenance, proper use/care & lotsa prayers.[emoji120][emoji4]

if you take proper care of it, i.e., maintenance and commonsense-driving, it may last the life of the engine.

if you abuse it to death... perhaps next week, it'll be... dead.

    heh heh.

my first experience with cvt was a 2003 car with 100K km on it. cvt was still ok.

Boss, tuwing kailan mo pinapalitan ang CVT Fluid like for Honda City CVT, every 40,000 km interval ba?

Depends, there is a risk that the park transmission lock will be damaged.

Pag hindi makapit ang gulong at tumalon nun nabangga, safe ka.

Same as any other A/T, Dual Clutch, basta may P sa transmission, same risk. Its not isolated to CVT.
