does engine oil always smell like gasoline? i had a check sa ilalim kasi ng auto ko and i found some light brown oil e, pero it didnt smell like gasoline. could it be brake fluid?
btw, wala siyang smell e. wala rin naman akong sipon kaya i'm sure na di barado ilong ko. i smelled it twice pa. naka dalawang balik na kasi ako sa trusted mechanic namin and he assured me na wala ng oil leak yung auto ko.

I just need some additional info re clutch problem. i've noticed such symtoms as quoted above w/ my car (corolla xl, M/T), however, the hardshifting only occurs when the engine is hot, say 2 hour travel especially in traffic where you need to use your clutch all the time.
any input mga sir would be greatly appreciated especially like me na walang alam kundi gumamit lang ng sasakyan. hehehe.
MISFIT, same problem as mine. Pero, duda ko sa master and secondary ung sa akin kse bigla nawawala ung clutch pedal ung pressure, kaya nde ko na ma shift. I had my mechanic adjusted the pedal and double check again the master and secondary, nung umulit. Ika 3rd day ko na. So far nde pa umu-ulit, happened to me twice.
if may nagbabasa then may tulo. simple. i doubt it's brake fluid tho... malamang sumemplang na yung auto if malakas tulo ng brake fluid. check it tho. super easy to see the bf level naman.
any ideas kung how much papalit ng clutch, i mean the whole package, as in palit lahat?

Guys, clutch din ba ang culprit kung hirap sa akyatan ang liteace. Hirap kasi lalo na kapag paahon kahit ako lang ang sakay. Madalas naka 2nd gear lang ako sa liteace when my VTI can climb at 4th gear. Mga half kilometer slope na siguro 15 degrees inclination lang. Hahit na nakabualo na ako sa 3rd gear, sa kalagitnaan slowdown na ako sa 2nd gear. Sa patag wala namang problem kahit na full load. What seems to be the problem?
I also have a related problem..pansin ko hirap ang makina pag akyatan first gear na parang nag vi vibrate yung manibela tapos biglang hahatak at hihina muli. This is especially true in first gear. It also happens in 2nd gear pero pag medyo mataas na rpm. May nararamdaman din akong vibration sa kambyo lalo na pag mababa ang gear. Sabi naman nila baka yung pressure plate ang me problema.. nag pa estimate na rin ako ng buong clutch kasi pag papalitan daw pressure plate, kelangan na rin palitan yung disk, bearing, etc para minsanan ang babaan... thanks in advance sa advise mga fellow tsikoters!!

"3) Release/Tension Bearing - release bearing lang po. Tensioner bearing is for the timing belt and in some cars for the fan/ac/alt belt. To test the release bearing put the shifter in the neutral position and listen. If you hear a whinning or humming sound and it disappears when you step on the clutch medyo may tama na ang bearing mo. But this doesn't mean sira na yun. It could take years bago tuluyan bumigay yun."
ganito yung problem ng adventure ko.. bumili ako ng parts sa La Brava, tapat ng ATco. twice na kmi nag palit ng release bearing pero same output.. nandun pa din yung sound.. may suggestion po ba kayo?

ask ko lang po sa #1 - naexperience na po namen yung sliding (mahina hatak, pero lakas RPM) sabi nung mekaniko ng bayaw ko papalitan na daw ng whole assembly (clutch)

ndi pa kasi ako nakakabalik kina speedy para pa check up.

kaya lang kasi lahat pinapalitan na ,kasi para isang gawaan na lang or isang babaan na lang ng transmission mo at least nakatipid ka pa sa service charge

kasi before mga 2 weeks ako habang ng ccheck ako ng battery,
nakita yung air take tube nya merong crack, so nilagyan ko ng tape
para sarado na, ok naman yung takbo nya
then nung lingo sabi ng bayaw ko, nag slide na daw yung cluch,
which is naramdaman ko rin talagang 4k rpm 1st gear - 2nd gear 20kph
ang bagal alang hatak.
pero nung monday morning bago ako punta office iniisip ko kung yung
tape na nilagay ko yung problema. kaya tinanggal ko yung tape na nakabalot dun sa air intake tube. then after that nag ok na yung hatak nya 2k-2.5k rpm
