October 6th, 2010 11:10 PM #35I have no problem sa expertise nila BULAONG. Improve lang nila workmanship. I bought surplus tranny from BULAONG last month. Iyong pinalitan kasi ang tranny ng Altis ko, hindi mahigpit pagkakabit sa pan oil seal so nag leak tapos binalik ko the next day para ayusin nila.
After one month, I decided to flush the ATF iyan kasi advise nila BULAONG . Since busy ako , I just went to Speedyfix sa SHAW blvd malapit kasi kami doon at doon ko nalaman may leak galing OIL SEAL ng transmission at sa CV joint (hindi mahigpit at magandang tie wrap ginamit kaya nag leak grasa). Inayos naman nila lahat ng nakita nila.
I used Royal Purple ATF (fully synthetic ATF). Ok itong brand na ATF, mahal lang nga pero ang laki improvement sa shifting.

October 9th, 2010 09:48 PM #36I don't think you can give the credit of your improve shifting to "royal purple" . It's a must to have your ATF replaced after a week of installing a new transmission. Pag bago ang transmission na kinabit normally may mga shavings ng metal na nag circulate sa system ng transmission hence causes abnormal shifting. That's why they highly recommend that you have your ATF replaced after a week . Yung type of ATF na gagamiting naten is for the prevention of wear and tear. This is just my own opinion. When I had my ATF replaced nilagyan ni BULAONG ng magnet sa oil pan para daw dun pumunta ang metal shavings/dirt incase meron sa system. When he replaced it wala daw kaseng nakalagay na magnet sa pan kaya daw hindi maganda shifting ng sasakyan ko. Open si Bulaong sa mga backjobs. Don't hesitate to bring it back to Leonard pag may problema pa sasakyan mo.

October 12th, 2010 02:37 PM #37hi Wrathbu. I appreciate your comments. Still observing the shifting. I still experience jerk when accelerating coming from semi full stop. Its like shifting from 1st gear to 3rd gear bypassing 2nd gear. When I use D2, I did not experience jerking when accelerating. This problem has not be solved though Leonard did some adjustment already.
Thus, I don't know where the problem is. Definitely this surplus transmission behaves much better than the one I used before. Will try to call Leonard. I don't if the ECU/TCU has something to do with this. It may reprogramming? I really don't know.

October 13th, 2010 03:13 PM #39Under warranty pa naman iyong surplus tranny. I also called up Mel (Honda Tranny specialist), sabi niya ipa test ulit kay Leonard tapos kung meron pa din jerk, ipapalit ng new surplus transmission ulit since under warranty pa naman.
Also talked to Leonard, he will check daw and replace the tranny if needed. I hope makakuha naman ako ng matinong surplus tranny.

October 14th, 2010 02:57 AM #40Hi jkwokng! As you have stated in your previews post that your car was submerged in flood. It's a possibility that there's other problem with your car that may contribute with the jerking when accelerating. And, I know how it feels to bring our car back and forth despite our busy schedules. I just hope that all the problem with your car will be resolved the soonest.
