    20-25K siguro ang surplus AT.

    but i am curious.
is the esi AT easily mount-able and exchangeable, onto the next model civic?
baka kasi... pang-esi ang transmission, dahil pang-esi ang engine...? ...nag-engine-swap...??

how long has the person you purchased the car from, been using it? hindi kaya, bayan seller siya?

Unfortunately po even the person who sold me the civic claimed that the transmission was original and he even suggested for me to bring the car to have the speedometer checked out with his personnal csr specialist... i have the car in my possession only for 2 months so i can not say thag there was an engine swap done.... and yes despite the husbands claims that he prersonally took care of the car since it was his wifes personnal car, gis lack of knowledge about the car seems like nadramahan lang ako and indeed they are into buy and sell lang...

Just got back from Above5500rpm in jp rizal in marikina to have a second opinion with regards to the issue with my car. The person i talked to looked y der the car and seemed to have a different assessment of which is leaking in under my car.. he says that it is not the seals that were previously ide tified at rapide that need to be replaced but its more of the cam shaft and crank shaft oil seals and oil pan gasket that needs replacing. The reason why it looks like that thw transmission seals are leajleaking is because the transmission is located lower than the engine so any leaks from the engine would run down to the transmissuon area.. is there any merit to his claim? Thank you.

Rapide ka pala nagpacheck eh. Avoid it like plague. Search rapide horror stories.

Kung rapide din nag sabi na pang esi ang tranny mo, mas lalong duda ako dyan. Napaka stupid naman lalo pa madami naman spares and surplus ang civic na EK. Laki conversion yan kung sakali.

I think mali yung siraniko na unang nag assess

unfortunately, it was not rapide who told me that the transmission was from an esi.. they did not even bother to really take a look at the transmission while it was raised.. the moment they saw that there was liquid dripping on the right side of the civic they already said that it was from the transmission.. and all other leaks they saw.. ending , all seals they can think of, they wanted to replace..

The reason why i said it was from an esi transmission is because, when i got the civic, the speedometer suddenly stopped working, asked several people and they told me it might be a speed sensor problem... so i went to banawe and purchased a speedsensor for what i thought was a for a 97 civic tranny, but when i was about to replace the speedsensor, it was totally different.. so i had to go back to banawe with the part i need to replace to be sure what to buy.. it was the store that i bought it from that told me the speedsensor is from an esi or old model accord i think..

Have it double checked. Usually napapagpalit ng autosupply ang kahon ng spares lalo more than 20 years old na yan kotse mo.

I still doubt na tranny ng ESI yan nilagay. Ano ba makina ng EK mo? Ph16? Onyung sa lxi?

why not bring it to a honda specialist, and ask them to take a look at what you got in your car?
ask also, what it'll take to "get it right", and what it'll take, to "get it running again, as it is".
    then you may decide.

someone here should be able to point you in the right direction.

like bro sirkosero, i too have doubts.

i agree w/ doc, it's high time you bring your car to a honda specialist.

when i still had my ek , the shop called hp racing in qc was one of the places to go to for honda peeps. bihasa ang may ari niyan at pwede ka tulungan pag source ng parts na kailangan mo.

google the shop na lang for their contact details and location.

Or kung south ka, punta ka sa hongly.

Or sa san juan, speedyfix. I think Migs knows his honda's even if half asleep hahaha. Then we can know for a fact kung frankencar yang nabili mo

Took a look at the engine and it is indicated na p16A ang makina.... pero ask ko lang if the speed sensor I placed eh for an ESI it should follow na un transmission ko is also an ESI? Mali po ba ako?

    Hello mga ka tsikot,

So i bought a second hand 2008 Toyota Fortuner which has a 161K mileage on it. Replaced transmission fluid, timing belt, cleaned brake pads, and changed oil. Performed test drive and the Low gear doesn't engage as in hindi nag-eengine brake when in downhill. Mahina rin sipa ng 2nd Gear. Had to rev engine naman kapag may uphill kapag kaka on lang ng kotse. So as concerned owner, had to bring it up to a trusted mechanic which they then scanned and found out the following codes/issues:

    1. P2200 NOx Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Read more at: P22 NOx Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Copyright OBD-Codes.com
    2. P0722 Output Speed Sensor No Signal Read more at: P722 Output Speed Sensor No Signal Copyright OBD-Codes.com
    3. P1801
    4. P1806
    5. P0504

Any suggestion / ideas mga ka tsikot for next step ?

    My suggestions :
    1) Google all codes
    2) Get a 2nd scan
    3) Stay away from replacement sensors

Brace your wallet, those sensors are expensive. My G4, bank 1 (pre-catalytic) sensor costs P22k

    i don't scan,
but in the old MT days, those symptoms sound like a slipping clutch.
    AT... dunno.

    Hi,

May I know why should I stay away from replacement sensors?

Thank you very much for the response.

replacement sensors (replacement parts) are manufactured by "someone else", the reputation and/or quality of which might be suspect.
not that all replacement brand parts are fakes or of poor quality, but "branded or Original Equipment Manufacturer (oem) are believed to be of higher quality". they are perceived to last longer and function more reliably.

I bought replacement bank1 O2 Sensor for my G4... 3x from 3 different sellers... Did not work.

Since they're also expensive, try cleaning it out with an electronic cleaner... Like soak it with the stuff... Install back... And hold your breath. If it doesn't work, it's really busted. If it works, it will fail later... But now you're sure that the sensor is busted.

Oh, don't forget to put anti-seize on the threads or you'll be sorry...
