Heto po istorya, nakabili ako year2014 ng honda crv 2004 model. after 1 year nasira transmission, wala daw pressure...

Kaizen quezon city - Pag usapang honda dito talaga puntahan.....
Fronte - Honest dito. Hands on yung may-ari mechanico
Today's cars are equipped with electronic transmissions, not automatic. There no more throttle cables anymore and no vacuum modulators anymore, to those who have serviced or repaired them before. First thing to check is the quantity and quality of the fluid, then the communication between the transmission, TCM, BCM, and the PCM. Hardly any mechanical problems. Sometimes it is the reprogramming too. Goodbye mechanics. Hello technicians.
Hello guys! Newbie here po. Sana matulungan nyo po ako.
I just bought a Honda Civic LXi 1996 with Automatic Transmission about a week ago. All stock po sya. Nothing was modified.
Here is the story po, kanina i got my engine oil and sparkplugs changed. When i asked the mechanic to check the level of my ATF, he said i need to start the car so he can get an accurate reading. So i started the car then cycled through the gears, P then D4 Then S then Back to P. He then checked the level and said its low. So i asked him if we could add fluid to top if off. I asked what type of fluid, he told me it since it is a Honda i should get the CVT type. So thats what i did. When he was filling it i noticed that the CVT fluid was different in color than the fluid i saw on my tranny dip stick when i checked it last week. The CVT fluid he added as yellowish/ greenish in color compared to the pinkish red i used to see on the dip stick when i checked it. I told him my observation and asked him why the CVT fluid he added is different in color than the one i observed on the dipstick. He just said that the CVT fluid will eventually change color to pinkish red pag nagagamit na. He was able to add around 500ml to 700ml of the CVT fluid on my tranny.
My questions:
1. Is he right?
2. If he is wrong, is it ok to mix that much CVT fluid to the ATF on my tranny?
3. If he is wrong, ano po pwede mangyari sa tranny ko?
4. If he is wrong, wha should i do right away?
Thank you so much.
1. No
2. No
3. Masisira yan, wrong lubricant
4. Have your tranny flushed, (twice if need be) to get rid of the contaminant, and refill with correct ATF. Ask your Honda dealer (casa) on what correct ATF to use.
Don't scrimp at this point, an auto tranny overhaul is expensive.
1. Nope.
2. Its not ok to mix regular ATF & CVT fluid
3. Your transmission will be damaged.
4. Flush away the CVT fluid then use the correct manufacturer specified ATF fluid. Google ATF dialysis and have it done to completely flush away that CVT fluid.
Noted sir. I called up the shop. They told me they will drain the atf using a "machine" tomorrow. I did not use the car for now since im afraid of what might happen if i will still use it.
But sad part is... the shop is insisting that i pay for everything. From the new ATF to the labor. I tried to bargain, they said what they can offer me is just a discount on the labor. OMG!
Is this just? Should i agree to what they want? When in the first place it was their mechanics mistake.
^
If that were me, I'm taking my car somewhere else. Okay lang if I pay for everything again, as long as my money does not go to them (that shop).
Can you mention the name of the shop here?
As a warning din sa mga tao ditto on their unjust procedures.
Ill update this tomorrow po. Imagine! Hahayy... iba klase ang customer service talaga. But what i can say is thay they are a big shop here in Davao Coty. Marami silang branches.
Yup, give the name and full address of the shop so that we can warn fellow tsikoteers.
Even the name of the guy who would not give you a fair deal. A fair deal would be to give you at least free labor to change the ATF.
Understandably, mahirap nila i-libre pati Honda ATF, which is almost P800/liter when I last bought, P2,400 for 4 liters.

Promise!
Spare the users here of the hassle and divulge the name of the shop. baka bukas lang magawa sa iba yung nagawa sayo. CVT is for 2003-2008 City and Jazz. and current models City, Jazz and Civic. old LXi should use just ATF, not CVTF, sinira na nga nila oto, wag ka mag bayad. insist that be repaired FOR FREE!
