Just rode a fx earlier.. I heard the driver saying:

"Bumili na kayo ng motor, mawawala na ang mga jeep sa January. Yung kapitbahay namin na may jeep, hindi na pinayagan irehistro sa LTO. Papalitan na ng electric jeep. At hindi namin kayo lahat sasaluhin kapag wala na ang jeep dahil kakaunti lang kami"

Although I ride din a jeep, hindi ako naniniwala sa sinabi nya. From what I'm reading and heard sa news, the old ones will be replaced by these new ones. Paano kaya yung mga common people who mainly use the jeep as mode of public transportation?

They should take away the plates of these PUVS not worthy on the road. I don't know how these vehicles ever pass smoke emission tests during registration.

For the idiot drivers, they should stop issuing licenses for them.

May napanood akong LTFRB interview saying that the "modernization" is not only replacing the old vehicles on the road, but also studying routes of their franchise.

I always wondered why the following jeep franchises existed...

Proj 6 - Kalaw
SM - Delta
Kalaw - Harrison

Another sample is.

UP - Commonwealth
UP - Sangandaan
Commonwealth - Balintawak

Diba pwedeng NIA-NPC to Proj 6 hanggang Harrison?
UP to Balintawak

Yung mga jeeps kasi kasi sa shorter routes (SM-Delta, UP-Commonwealth) sobrang luma!

Mayroong currently na FX route na byaheng SM Fairview-Buendia. Will the jeepney will have the same FX route mentioned, if the LTFRB will studying the franchise routes of the jeepneys in the Metro? But it will cause traffic though if a supposed 3 franchise jeep routes that ply on almost the same route will be combined into one?

Di ba pwedeng Lagro all the way to either MOA (EDSA), Harrison (Q. Ave tapos Taft)

Merge na dapat byahe/franchises ng PUVs then thanks to the longer route, pwede nang palitan ng mini-bus yung mga jeep.

Pwede bang wasakin na lang nila yung jeep kapag 2 beses nang bumagsak sa safety test? Pati prankisa nung may ari cancelled.

Para mapadali ang jeep modernization act.

A Future for Jeepneys (What do you think?)

the way to phaseout jeepneys is to not renew their registration

the LTO should impose a tough set of standards PUJs should pass before pwede ma-renew ang rehistro

standards set high enough that PUJs can't possibly pass (emissions, safety, etc)

pero syempre magrereklamo mga operators and drivers at ma-pressure mga politician at ma-suspend ang plano
