I'm really rooting for the e-jeepneys though. Just look at how successful the e-trikes are in Manila.

I don't think that's successful. Tricycle dapat replace nila. Kaso ginawa na nilang mini jeep ang etrike nila. May route sila. Tapos 20 pesos isang tao. Tapos andyan pa rin naman mga gas engine tricycle

Oonga eh, hindi kasi nareregulate ang fare ng mga tricycles so ganon din sila. I see this as a step in the right direction though. I'm sure many etrike drivers were former tricycle or even kuliglig drivers. I wonder why the LTFRB is doing next to nothing with regards to regulation of tricycles.

Tricycle fare regulation is devolved to the local government

Unfortunately there seems to be no regulation whatsoever at all. Tricycles are charging like taxis and etrikes like UV Express! This despite the fact that they are the cheapest to run and maintain.

its a very unpopular decision but it will be for the good of the country. dapat matapos lahat ng phase ng modernization during the current admin dahil pag nag carry over to next pa yan. ewan na lang kung matatapos pa.

dapat may phaseout din ang jeep eh noh like taxi. X number of years palit na. sobrang bawi na sila sa jeep na running 30-40 years on road. sa sobrang tipid o walang budget ng jeepney driver pati headlight hinde na binubuksan sa gabi.

i doubt that the new PUJs will be low maintainance for the first 3 three years considering how they run. Pedal to the metal when came across another PUJ of the same route, and stop at every block.

when will this implemented tuloy tuloy na ba'to? i hope so.

btw, tama naman yun concerns ng militant group na yan, several corporations will provide the manpower training, insurance, vehicle, loans, repairs kumbaga parang tren na. so what, eh ganun talaga. kesa naman walang maintenance na jeep na walang paki sa safety at convenience ng sarile nilang customer

ive never seen such an industry so insensitive like this jeepney business. kudos for charging them with economic sabotage. di ba pag economic sabotage, that's also criminal so hinde na sila political. they will all be tried and arrested as ordinary criminals. it's about time.

Bakit may 2 class of vehicles? I hope the Jap backed prototypes win. May experience na sila sa buses which is a big plus.

tapos kung makikita nyo yan nagpoprotesta or even mga drivers na yan, ang lalaki ng tyan or ang tataba, misis nila ang laki din. naghihirap ba sila? eh bat masagana sila kumain?

dito sa Pilipinas, isang style yan " mahirap lang kami, para kunwari pagbigyan, where is the honor in that? YOU CAN"T SIMPLY ARGUE MAHIRAP KA pero andami mo pinahihirapan : pasahero, mga bikitima ng aksidente like pedestrians, and even yun mad max na housing ng jeepney that can tear thru even a bank armored tank

at least, have the decency to admit this to yourselves. or wait, do they even understand that term decency? yun lang maggawa sila ng traffic or terminal, pag nagtatarbaho sila walang pake sa community, tapos pag nag-welga walang pake sa community. what a bunch of indecent people.

Anyone did the math on how much the take home pay of the jeepney drivers will be after paying off their monthly ammortization / obligation to finance the brand new jeeps that cost anywhere from 1 to 1.6Million .... for the next 7 years (loan term).... some figures I've read says the take home pay is 100 pesos a day? .... how the f*ck can anyone survive on that?
