Like makati, they have their own rules and pasig with their own confusing number coding.

Then there's Perea cor. Paseo de Roxas (just past Greenbelt 1) where there's a corner light AND a "no right turn on red". Wouldn't the sign be redundant?

Then there's Parkway drive (The Link) cor Makati Ave where I was flagged down for turning right on red. Corner light and no "no right turn on red" sign.

    Confusing AF, right?

Hindi kaya a red stoplight on a corner is the same as a fixed STOP sign? Meaning you should make a full stop, check the road, if clear then proceed?
#1 enforcers waving you to turn right, that supercedes the traffic light restrictions,
#2 redundant? They could easily say goodness you saw the signs!
#3 are they really saying the corner light is meant for right turners?

some of these traffic lights may be rotated manually. perhaps someone was "careless"?

Where were you coming from? Parkway Drive turning right into Makati Avenue?

Yes. I was on my way to Ayala Museum to find a parking space.

I must add that it happened around 2 years ago. I was also let off with just a warning when I said that I already threw away my DL's receipt (I honestly thought I did). He said having no receipt would make it difficult for me to retrieve my DL from city hall if he were to confiscate my card. Naawa yata.

I also recall looking for any signs that I may have missed at that intersection as I was crossing the elevated walkway between gb5 and landmark later that day - there was none.

Hmm...I can't see why you'd even turn right on red there... it's only one lane, and it's only going right...and you have two dedicated traffic lights just for that lane. Plus the yellow box reaches all the way to the corner. (so there's no channel there)

Confusing right? 2nd, just for you to know, may mga nanghuhuli kahit n walang sign ng NO RIGHT TURN ON RED. It has been posted on the other thread. Paseo ng right ng ayala going to mkati ave. Inexplain s knya n always stop on red. My brother also have the same experience with MMDA. Guys, what we are asking here is the traffic rules in the philippines not your opinion. If you you have the handbook o sa mismong traffic kayo assign, masasagot niyo ung tanong. If no one can answer this, we will always be at the mercy of TE to decide whether it is right or wrong.

what the law does not prohibit, it allows. if no signage, then it is allowed.
sometimes, we have to show them that we know the rules.
some signs are meant to warn motorists of potential danger. no big deal, really.

years ago, i was "accosted" for turning right at an intersection with no signage.
"kumanan po kayo sa red light."
"opo. buti na lang, hindi bawal."
    "sigo po. drive safely."

For the paseo-makati ave, may sign dyan if i remember correctly.

Kung walang road sign, pwede. Super dali icontest.

Kung walang sign it means pwede.

    which is the plain truth.
    pina-alis ako.
i don't drive there often, kasi. the sign was truly almost-blank.

Even worse than that is the ol' "traffic sign concealed by a tree branch" or "facing the wrong direction" trap.

An example of the latter would be making a right turn into what turned out to be a one way street. Happened to me in Manila a long, long time ago. Mayroon nga pala sign, but hindi nakalagay dun sa corner where the driver turning into the street can see it. Nandun nakalagay sa kabilang corner, slightly facing away (bent/vandalized on purpose). Tapos midway into the street, andun naghihintay yung mga buwaya...

    it also happened to me.
    northbound bautista corner buendia.
sinita ako for left-turning. may karatula daw. but i complained, as there was no such the week before.
i even went down and walked back to verify. meron nga! but it was located much further in, partly covered by other signage. if one were not looking for it, one would not have noticed it at all.
and i complained so. "sino bang nagkabit niyan? parang sinasadyang i-tago, 'di bah?" of course, they could not dis-agree, as the evidence was there for everyone to see.
    pina-alis ako.
a couple of weeks later, said signage was re-installed up front, where it can be more easily seen.

actually, left-turn and no-left-turn signages in that intersection come and go. we motorists are confused, when they will decide to replace the status quo.

actually, our government is a signatory to the international traffic signage policy or something to that effect.
this policy dictates how signage should be designed, placed, etc.
while some of our local signage do conform, a few do not.

Ang pinaka-ayoko is when Im out on front then ung sa likod ko bumubusina and flashing of lights urging me to turn right kahit stop pa, regardless kung may sign ng 'no right turn on red signal' or wala.

Pag may sign, i would roll down my window and point to the sign.

The more confusing it is, the more they like it. It gives the corrupt ones an excuse to make their dirty money.

Bro, wag na. Baka ma-misinterpret pa yung gesture mo (thinking you're giving the other driver the finger). Alam mo naman yung Emotional Maturity (EQ) ng maraming Pinoy drivers is very low.

If you watch some of the videos in the goon squad thread, parang mga batang nagdadabog. I really have to shake my head sometimes at grown men & women, behind the wheel of a 2 ton++ machine, but acting no better than 6 year old throwing a tantrum.

Naguguluhan ako sa intersection ng Aurora Blvd (Tramo, Pasay) at Airport road. May sign na no right turn at red pero all the time kumakanan ang mga nasa middle at rightmost lanes.

Para ma-avoid ko na lang na hindi mabusinahan, I stay on the middle lane. Kaso yung middle lane naman may arrow na for left turn only. What's more, many vehicles make right turns from the middle lane din.

rightmost lane, stop ka if go yung cars coming from T3/airport road is green, Turn right if nag left turn na yung cars coming from Airport road/domestic Terminal.
