A vehicle is worth approx P1M.....
A house and lot with garage is worth >>P1M.... If space is at a premium,- no more garage for me.... I'll use the street in front of my house as my private parking slot.
Also, better for me to drive around town (and people to see me) with my P1M vehicle....

August 11th, 2016 09:39 AM #113My belief is different. I don't like to be a person known that I can afford to buy a car approx worth P1M or higher. But can't afford to own a house and lot with a garage space merely almost with the same cost.
A vehicle value depreciates, while a land with a house with a garage and improvements, increases its resale value over time.
I would simply prioritize first to acquire a house and lot with a garage worthing P1M. Two or three years after, your vehicle worthing P1M before, I can afford it to acquire half of its value afterwards.
Thieves can rob any material things inside a house, but never can be forcibly stolen away.
That's just me.

Agree with you bro...
Sadly, not all of us has the same philosophy/priority in life....
Hayyzzz...

Sorry for the confusion, but I am just speaking first-person bro.... Just doing some story-telling...
Not my case. I have enough garage space in our property for our rides, with room to spare for a few more....
Parking in the street is not my cup of tea....

August 17th, 2016 10:18 AM #118How about this:
No enough parking space for customers, no leasing/renting/building of commercial space.
I think they're missing the point. As mentioned by many others already, may mga batas na nagsasabing i-tow lahat ng illegally parked vehicles. So meaning, implementation lang ang kailangan talaga, as in strict implementation! Take Quirino Hiway along talipapa/sangandaan for example. 2 lanes yan each, pero 1 lane para sa parking ng mga jeepney, kotse ng mga teacher, heck, even delivery trucks ng softdrinks! Last night, I was wondering why there's a buildup sa exit ng Hypermarket. I noticed vehicles switching from right to left, then paglabas ko, ayun pala!
Now my 2 cents on other people's priorities. Some people just don't choose to own a house, because of mobility. There are studies out there laying out why some people don't invest in houses. To some, renting an apartment/condo is preferable because it gives them freedom to transfer places whenever the need arises, like for example when you need to transfer to another job or you need to leave for an emergency. Owning a car gives them mobility, so they choose it over investing on a house. Not to mention, your cited budget for a house and garage may be outdated. You want a decent house with garage in MM, that should cost you at least 2-4M today. And kung ilo-loan mo yan sa bank, matagal tagal yan na bayaran, compared to car financing, so that's also one point why others choose to invest in a car first. Now I respect madami sa inyo ay mga well-off sa buhay, so it really puzzles you why some people can buy a car and not a house. But that doesn't take away from common people the right to mobility. In the US, even homeless people have vehicles, and that is where they live/sleep. Now you may say, Pinas tayo, hindi US. Yes right, but the point is clear: Cars have clear advantage to people when it comes to mobility, and that is why it takes priority to some WORKING class people, who spend hours in daily commute so that they can SAVE money so someday they can buy their own house.
For the record: I don't park in the streets. My apartment comes with FREE garage parking.

Sabi nang ituloy na iyan e!!!
Political will!
You cannot use public resources permanently as your private property....
Road tax ba kamo???- E di gumulong ka all the time! Hindi nakahinto o naka-park....
